Everyone knows that Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time, and the “Flu Game” is a perfect example as to why Jordan is. He had to battle the flu in a very important playoff game. Michael Jordan had so much ambition and aptitude in him that he was able to battle through it and make the game winning bucket. Jordan is a prime example of a kid working hard to achieve his life goals. Michael Jordan pushed himself to greater heights and this proved to people that he was such a great player. In the Olympic games Jordan showed great skills on both sides of the floor, offensively and defensively. He was also one of few to make the NBA All-Star as a rookie which is such an incredible honor. Jordan finally started to get the Bulls on the right track, and it received a household name as a premier team in the league. In the year of 1990, he won his first NBA title, and he then won two more in back to back years. “ He was the NBA scoring leader in 84, and 86-93. He was also the Defensive Player of the Year in 88” (Contemporary p.1). Getting this honor proved that Jordan was not a selfish player, and was able to do it on both sides of the court. This showed many of why he was the greatest player alive. After his third ring, Jordan felt that he accomplished all his goals in the NBA, and he wanted to make his old dream come true. Since Jordan won another title the first year after he came back to the league,it started to show across the nation that he was a true dominant force. He started to show that he was a legend and king of the league. Jordan and the Bulls won two more titles in consecutive years, and Jordan racked up many more individual awards. Not only did Jordan make the city of Chicago happy, but the whole entire happy. According to Hollar, “Jordan was the leader of the 1992 Olympic team.
