Introduction:
Australia's children deserve a safe, healthy and happy childhood. Our children must be able to grow up nourished and supported in loving and caring environments. They must have time to be children with all the wonder, happiness and innocence that childhood should bring (Dss.gov.au. 2017). metal and physical health are one and the same that people have from when they born which can change overtime and it never stays the same depending on factors which include relationships, environment and general health. Good mental health is vital for children to feel confident, learn and try new things and form positive relationships. What are the factors that affect the promotion of children`s mental health?
In this society, protecting children is a responsibility of every single person being as Parents, governments and businesses. We all have a role to play. During lifetime, if children experience mental health problems, their thoughts, emotions and behaviours will be affected. Factors that lead to mental health problems are;
• Family history of mental health issues.
• Biological factors, such as genetic or brain diseases.
• Life experiences, such as trauma or abuse
The following feelings and behaviours are the early warning sign of a mental problem:
• Evacuate from people and usual activities
• Low or no energy
• Feeling numb without any problem
• There are unexplained pain and suffering
• Feeling helpless or hopeless
• More than usual smoking, drinking or using drugs

• Ways to promote your children's mental health and wellbeing by parents:
• Express love, care for child.
• Being interested in what is happening in your children's life. Praised their merits and achievements, and valued their thoughts.
• Enjoy the time spent with your child as a family.
• Encourage children to talk with you. Let children feel they do not have to do things themselves, but also to find ways to solve the problem.
• Handle problems that arise, rather than accumulate them.
• Needs more help, talk with family, friends, other parents or teachers. If you feel you need more help, contact your GP or other health professional.
