MENTAL HEALTH EDUCATION



Introduction
Mental health is the simple maintenance of all mental activities put together with the ability of the mind to adapt and cope with any kind of stress. It involves the health of the mind in which an individual uses his emotional capabilities. Mental health education is the dissemination of reliable information about the health of the mind. This kind of education aims at improving the mental states and health of various people in the society. Examples of such groups in the society include children, adolescents, a group of adults, expectant women, and mothers experiencing postnatal stress (Kema 2007, 34). Consumer centered care is a kind of health concern and care that is preferential, responsive, and respectful to all the needs and values of consumers in the society. It has an obligation of regarding the patients, families, and consumers with the amount of respect they deserve. It also encourages activities such as participation in decision-making processes by the parents, caregivers and consumers. Communication and constant sharing of information with parents, caregivers and consumers are also among their key principles.
Consumer health care involves the dissemination of reliable pieces of information about the experience, skills, and knowledge required by a particular age group for living in a particular society. It is one among the major components of general that is aimed at supporting the consumers. This type of care has an objective of improving the productivity of the daily lives of the consumers.
