The Medical Condition Schizophrenia

Is the schizophrenia a problem caused by genetic factors or socioeconomic problems?. Schizophrenia is a debilitating psychological condition that affects people in our society, and the patient who have this disability cannot do a difference between the real or unreal things, they don’t thing in a good way, and also they have weird behavior in a normal situation of the life, they can imagine and look the life like a movie, like a fiction life, with monster or unreal things. Schizophrenia is as a socioeconomic problem as genetic problems and some psychologists and scientists have answered why is not and why it is based in three point of view, Sociogenetic , Hereditary and Physiological Abnormalities.

The Schizophrenia at Sociogenesis level the psychologist based in “Schizophrenia Genetic Mother Theory (Fromm- Reichmann 1948), think is a social problem and the scientists think is genetic problem based in “Double Bind Theory” (Bateson, 1956). On one hand, the psychologist think it is a social problem because most of the people who have this disability are prevalently from lower socio-economic classes, and they were abused or have remind about violence in them houses, or hard times when they were young. On the other hand, the scientist think is a genetical problem because not all the people who have this illness are poor, they thing the problems are in all of the social classes and most of the people who have that illness were not fed correctly for his or her mother when they were pregnant, and they think the problem is in the cell and also family history, about if the parent had or have the illness or if their ancestors were it.

In conclusion the psychologists and the scientist don’t have a clear answer for this illness which affect people in our society and both of them don’t want to work together to find a real answer to the illness. They are try to see who have the real answer and try to use the human like an object to find the answer. They must to be focus in the real important things, most of the people who have schizophrenia are feeling pain and they have to live with that and the psychologist and scientist must to try to help them no as a object but as human, a person who have feelings. Both of them are trying to look if is a environmental problem or is a genetic problem, but why cannot be a set of both?.
