Is Medical Assisting a great job for me in the future world? Medical assisting is a job that you help people with. This job includes things like taking blood samples, giving shots, check-ups, etc. Any interests I have had within this career is that you help others, prescribe medicine if they are in need, being prompt and taking care of others. The reason why I chose to use a dental assistant as the Healthcare Professional was because I think that they are very important along with the dentists. That I would choose a career in the medical field has never been a question; I am innately nurturing and compassionate. Finding myself drawn specifically toward a career as a physician assistant is something that has occurred over my lifetime and as a result of many experiences. These experiences have developed a skill set in me that I believe uniquely qualifies me for this particular area of health care. As I considered the caregiving skills and attention to detail required of a nurse, and the problem solving and responsibility required of a physician, I realized that I share qualities with individuals in both professions. Throughout this researched that I investigated I became interested in this field in a way. If I had an option in medical field I would take the option. Knowing that you are helping patients out is an amazing feeling. I would work with infants rather than adults. I would cherish every moment because you would never know if that’s the last time to work with the patient not just because of death but maybe cause they might recover from there sickness.
You need two years of postgraduate schooling after your basic four. Most people going into training already have bachelor’s degree and some type of healthcare training. Most people that are physicians assistants did not go into college wanting that to be there job. Majority of them were EMT’s or registered nurses before and decided to go into the physicians assistant program. There are a lot of important skills needed to be a physicians assistant and those can make or break your career. Communication, emotional stability, and compassion are very important to have. Communication is key to be able to talk to your patients and let them know what is going on. Emotional stability is important to not break down when things go wrong with your patient and to not show weakness, staying positive. Compassion for your patients is also important to let them know you care and want to be there to help

Frequently, it takes many trials and lack of success as well as achievements, for one to truthfully discover him/herself. I instinctively progressed through the motions of life. Many options were available and choosing a career as I grew up kept altering, until one day when I saw how helping other people is my sole purpose of life.
