The media portrays the way a person should live their life. Trying to cover the diversity of the world, it has created a checklist of what is an acceptable way of life. This has created a societal map of how to live. However this way of expressing open mind as left society more close minded than ever before. Anything outside what society already knows to be true is met with immediate and extreme lassitude. Furthermore, it takes years before this new concept can be considered on the checklist of society, let alone be considered a mainstream idea. Because society forces us to categorize ourselves, we cannot offer true acceptance or equality of both ourselves and others. This is because confidence doesn’t sell. All of the division cause negativity in which people try so desperately to reach societal perfection opening up a market with a guarantee following. Society purposely point out your flaws and then tells you how to fix them with a product that will actually work with a few people. Have you ever notice that there is always select type of group in the media? This is what I mean. They take a select group that they know the product will work and try to mass market it for everyone. What makes it worse is that the select group in the media does not accurately portray the masses. In truth, the market has begun to change in recent years, however the damage has already been. Everyone is too obsessed with perfection even if they are not willing to admit and they want to go through imperfect means to get it. This is a market that will always be open in the socio-economic of the world. This won’t change either, and not because of the money that 's at stake but because of people won’t change. We always seek perfection in an imperfect world, but that can all change. Not only with accepting yourself, but doing things for you and not for others. In today’s society, self-indulging deeds have become far more of a taboo than they actually are. It is okay to indulge in yourself whenever you feel like and that is how you begin to break down this market. Once the market begins to see that you will not change until their need they will change for yours. No matter who or what you are, if you begin the change for you and not for them the market will have no choice but go where the money
