“The satisfaction may require a “total” product offering that is really a combination of excellent service, a physical good with the right features, useful instructions, a convenient package, a trustworthy warranty, and perhaps even a familiar name that has satisfied the consumer in the past.” (Perreault 199). As a company, we have decided that included in our product plan we would have a total product making sure we took everything into consideration. In order to have a total product, we must include all of the following: branding, packaging, warranty and product class. To start, our product will be individually branded by a manufacturer (with the trademark; Samsung) so they can produce multiple products at one time. Consumers are very familiar the brand Samsung, so most of them will already have a prior experience using the brand or have heard talk about the brand. Our ultimate goal is to make our RobotMop everyone’s brand preference. Our product will be consumers first choice for this type of product. The external market environment for Samsung looks promising since the economy is slowly increasing meaning we will be able to sell mass quantities of our product as people are being accustomed to technology. We expect competitors to join the market later which is a threat but we have taken them into consideration and have planned accordingly. Our target market, Generation Y, are extremely interesting in technology and tend to not have time for cleaning as they are working long hours at work and focusing on starting a family.
