The death of Marilyn Monroe is not only a death that will go down in history, but also one of the biggest mysteries that is still not answered to this day. She was famous for acting, singing, modeling, and was the sex icon of the decade. She had many things going for her, including two movies she was going to star in, so it didn’t make sense to people that she would kill herself. To many, they are convinced that she in fact didn’t kill herself, but that she was murdered. As told before, Monroe had a problem with abusing many different types of drugs. She also struggled with depression, and has attempted to kill herself in the past. That night she took her life, she made sure that no one would be able to save her this time, by locking her door so she would not be bothered. That August night she took forty Nembutal pills, which killed her. She was found face down on her bed holding the telephone that she used to previously talk to Peter Lawford. Lawford told investigators how her speaking was off and slurred, which proved that shortly after their call is when she died. Many may believe that Monroe’s death was a murder, but ultimately the evidence proves that her death was a suicide.
