Marianne Moore was an all-time good writer. She had many difficulties but she overcame them.
Marianne Craig Moore was born in Kirkwood, Missouri on November 15, 1887. She was the second child of John Milton and his wife Mary Warner. John Moore invented a smokeless furnace but failed. He collapsed mentally and was institutionalized before Marianne was born, son she never knew him (Parrish 1). Moore grew up in her maternal grandfather’s home. Moore spent her first seven years in an affectionate, close-knit environment. Her family encouraged serious reading and had a tolerant attitude toward diverse religious beliefs (Stone 2).
Marianne Moore graduated from Metzger Institute in 1905. She then went to Bryn Mawr College. She majored in history, law, and political science. Since she loved laboratory courses in biology and histology, she wanted to become a physician. She graduated in 1909 with a B.A degree but did not become a physician, lawyer, or a painter like she wanted. Instead, Moore enrolled into a one-year course at Carlisle Commercial College. After graduating, she started working at the U.S. Industrial Indian School in Carlisle. Marianne and her mother traveled together, visiting cities they had dreamed of and spent hours in art museums. She taught Native American students the standard secretarial skills of the time book home in Carlisle. She taught there for four years successfully (Parrish 1). She learned a verbal decorum and precision from her mother. And Moore had never married (Stone 2).

...he end of the 1960s and early 1970s, Moore’s health was declining because of a series of strokes. It killed her on February 5, 1972 (Bloom 21). On February 5, 1972, Marianne Moore died at the age of 84. A new edition of her “Complete Poems,” with her final revisions, appeared nine years later.
Despite her difficulties through life, Marianne Moore had a great writing career. She had several awards. She was known for becoming one of the greatest modernists of her time.

Nettie Stevens was an American women who was born in Vermont on July 7th, 1861. Her mother died when she was only two years old. Her father remarried and the family moved to Westford, Massachusetts. Growing up as a women during this time it was hard to get education. Nettie’s father was a carpenter and was able to afford giving his children the opportunity to go to school. Stevens was a very bright student. She attended a Westford Academy where she graduated 2 years before her graduating classmates. She became a teacher and supervisor but wanted to further her education.
At the age of thirteen, Zora Neal Hurston’s life came to a halt. The woman who she would look to for understanding, support, protection and encouragement, her mother, died. From that point she had no direction in her life. She started writing just to keep herself from emotional and physical loneness. Hurston was devastated by the death of her mother (Howard 3).
A college education is something that women take for granted today, but in the 1800’s it was an extremely rare thing to see a woman in college. During the mid 1800’s, schools like Oberlin and Elmira College began to accept women. Stone’s father did a wonderful thing (by 19th century standards) in loaning her the money to pay for her college education. Stone was the first woman to get a college education in Massachusetts, graduating from Oberlin College in 1843. Her first major protest was at the time of her graduation. Stone was asked to write a commencement speech for her class. But she refused, because someone else would have had to read her speech. Women were not allowed, even at Oberlin, to give a public address.
Lucille Clifton was one of the worlds best poets and backbone of many. Not only she was a post modernist poet but also and modernist , which gave people of all genre to understand and enjoy her writings. Having one of the best books of New York times and graduating from one of the top colleges really helped lucille launch success and help her career bloom.

Louisa May Alcott is such a wonderful woman who was known not only as a great writer, but also a fighter for justice and advocate of human rights. No matter how many difficulties Louisa faced in her life, she had succeeded in achieving her dream. She wrote one of the greatest books of her era, Little Women. She participated in anti-slavery activities, and was a non-official feminist. She worked hard for fans and neither for fame nor money. Louisa May Alcott is example for all of the people in the world.
Education for women in the 1800s was far different from what we know today. During her life, a girl was taught more necessary skills around the home than the information out of school books. A woman’s formal education was limited because her job opportunities were limited—and vice versa. Society could not conceive of a woman entering a profession such as medicine or the law and therefore did not offer her the chance to do so. It was much more important to be considered 'accomplished' than thoroughly educated. Elizabeth Bennet indicated to her sisters that she would continue to learn through reading, describing education for herself as being unstructured but accessible. If a woman desired to further he education past what her classes would teach her, she would have to do so independently, and that is what most women did.

From her childhood to her adult life, Helen Keller never lost hope or faith, she has shown us that with enough perseverance and hard work anything can be accomplished. Helen Keller has encountered many important and famous people, wrote 14 books, and won countless awards and honors throughout her life such as being inducted in the Women’s Hall of Fame. Helen Keller was a strong independent woman who taught herself not only to read, write, and speak, but also accomplished the normal actions of an everyday life.
