CRITICALLY ANALYZE HOW THE STUDY OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR WILL INFLUENCE THE GROWTH AND EXCELLENCE OF AN ORGANIZATION BASED IN NAIROBI OR ANY OTHER URBAN AREA.

INTRODUCTION:
Robbins, (1986) defines an organization as a continuously coordinated social unit composed of two or more people that function on a relatively continuous basis to achieve a common goal. Nzuve ,(1999) described it as a coordinated social setting where people interact in order to achieve a basic aim. An organization is composed of two or more persons may include hospitals, churches, schools, Government Ministries, Trade Unions etc. Cole, (1998) defines organizational behaviour as a systematic study of the behaviour of individuals within work groups, including an analysis of the nature of groups, the development of structures between and within groups, and process of implementing change.
KEY ISSUES ADDRESSED IN ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR.
The principle issues as addressed by Nzuve, (1998) are:
1. Personal (individual behaviour and performance at work.
2. The way people work in groups and the nature of their work.
3. The nature of social structures and organization designed at work.
4. The required processes when adapting to behaviour and changing conditions in an organization.
WHY ORGANIZATIONS EXISTS.
According to Johns, (1995) organization exists because they can achieve results which individuals cannot achieve alone due to the following.
a) By grouping together individuals can overcome limitations imposed by physical environment and their own biological limitations.
b) Organizations provide an individual need for companionship.
c) Organizations increase productive ability as they enable: specialization (division of labour), exchange , synergy (this conce...

According to East African Breweries Corporation (2008), they support many community organizations such as Conservation of the environment and the African Wildlife Foundation which has helped in fencing of some wildlife parks like the Aberdares. Values such as this help form part of their corporate identity.

Conclusion
Organization leadership, communication, culture, and decision making, conflicts, stress make only a small portion of the concepts that makeup organizational theory and behavior. Any organization that applies that applies the concepts of organizational theory and behavior can determine the success of any organization. An organization must create proper management atmosphere leadership and how people relate to each other in terms of group.
