There always has been controversy as to should the united states lower the drinking age to 18. Eighteen year olds should have the right to drink. By lowering the drinking age to eighteen it will give people supervision, teach responsibilities, and eighteen years olds are already considered adults; however, it may cause binge drinking, it will lead to more deaths, and drinking damages brains cells and especially the body itself. Lowering the drinking age to eighteen would be good for supervision because the drinkers will drink in public where there everyone watching them. Likewise that will have the drinkers drinking responsibly because they will have to follow regulations for drinking in public. In addition they are adults already. Drinking shouldn’t be a crime it just an activity people do typically. The government acts like that twenty one year olds are way more responsible than eighteen year olds ,which there not such proof for that and to top it off it just four years apart from each other so the government just making bunch of nonsense. It’s not the age that effect the lowering the drinking age it is the person, specially the law is just won’t stop nothing because it depends all on the person who Is drinking. Government got to look at the bigger Picture of this issue on the law that it shouldn’t be base all on age group because whatever ages you may be it can be all the same for all the other ages, people are all humans! Government shouldn’t be ruling over the citizens’ rights wasn’t that why the bills of rights were made for? Also the alcohol not going into the government body it consuming to the citizen’s body that drinking, as adults they got to take care of their own self and not relay on anymore. The government giving ... ... middle of paper ... ...houldn't baby eighteen year olds no more. As adults let them do what they want! It their bodies, life especially decisions. Now it up to government to pass the law for lowering the drinking age to eighteen years of age. Works Cited · G, Harold. “Drinking Age Should Be Lowered” 12 Dec. 2013.
