“Listen to my story. This...may be our last chance.” —Sora’s narrative The group sits around a fire in complete silence. Beyond the horizon is a ruined city, covered in fireflies. Sora begins to tell his story of how he reached this place. Sora's story begins in the metropolis of Tropium where he is signing memorabilia for followers, thinking it is a normal day as the star player for his airsphere team, the Tropium kings. Amidst the opening match of the Ikki Empire Cup (organized to honor Sora’s father, Ikki, who vanished ten years ago), a gigantic beast enters the city destroying everything in its path. The only person undisturbed by this is Kabuto, a man who has acted as Sora’s mentor since Ikki’s disappearance. Sora meets up with Kabuto outside the airsphere stadium, but time stops and a boy in dark blue robes appears before him, and says: "When it begins, please don't cry". After the boy vanishes, Sora continues after Kabuto who reveals the force destroying the city is called "Gragas" and gives Sora "a gift from Ikki", a longsword. The two fight their way through the invading creatures and when they reach Sin, Kabuto allows both himself and Sora to be sucked up into its "maw". Sora loses consciousness — but not before seeing a brief vision of his father. When Sora awakes he finds himself in the ruins of a temple where he sets up a shelter. When a creature attacks him a group of strange people blow through the wall and the leader helps Sora with the battle. Sora tries to thank the people that helped him, but they speak a language he is not familiar with. They take him hostage and bring him to their arc where the group leader, a girl named Kassadin, says they are a faction of people who use the forbidden machina technology. The guardians head out with Ashe on her journey, a sacred journey across the spiral to defeat Gragas. Aster takes Sora along out of hopes somebody will recognize him at the Air tournament at Ironclad. They ventured forth on a ship to reach Traverse Town, and Sora and Ashe get a chance to talk. Ashe believes Sora’s story, Mainly because about ten years ago a man named Ikki worked as her mother’s guardian. Ashe is the daughter of the high summoner Katarina, the last person to have destroyed Gragas. During the journey Gragas shows up and the group fights it, but fail to stop it from Destroying Traverse Town.

People around the city went to bed, everything seemed relatively normal. Smoke dwindling into the dark night sky, the faint smell of burning wood. All normal for Chicago. Fires were a daily part of life for this wooden city. Near the time of 2 a.m. the fire didn’t seem so normal and average anymore. A mean flame was being born, it was blazing to life.

He then starts going into detail about the two mortal cities. The first city opens with a description of a wedding and a wedding feast. Sharing details such as the glowing torches, the choirs singing, the young men dancing with flutes and harps, and the women who rushed to the doors, were moved with wonder. Then it goes into a mass of people streaming into the marketplace where a quarrel had broken out and two men struggled over the blood-price for a kinsman just murdered. Their quarreling is settled when they call for a ...

In conclusion, despite minuscule similarities Sogolon Kendjou and Sassouma Berete were depicted in direct contrast in the epic Sundiata. It is obvious that, despite the fact that both queens wanted the best for their sons, their characters and methods were different. Since they were so different it influenced not only Sundiata and Dankaran but all of the king's children.

A baby’s life helps to form and shape the future for that child; this goes the same for me. My birth, my sign, and my name, all relate to the way I live and act today. Many people may not see this connection for themselves, but it takes a little bit of research and thinking to come to realize why people are the way they are. Every day and every action that a child experiences can influence their actions as an adult.
From the title, the plot of the film is immediately clear. Despite the viewer's knowledge of Soraya's fate from the outset, watching it unfold is still beyond belief. Soraya is depicted as a beautiful young woman, tormented by her abusive and philandering husband, Ali. Despite the entire villages knowledge of her husband's affairs, Soraya is powerless to separate from him on her own terms. Her two sons, far too young to make conscious decisions, mimic their father, are cold and callous toward their mother and sisters, while her daughters are equally abused and neglected by the men. When Ali desires a divorce from Soraya in order to marry a fourteen year old from the city, he makes what he considers a 'fair' proposal for settlement, which neglects to provide for Soraya or their daughters whom he does not want.
