Life Mission Statement
I’ve always known exactly what I wanted to do with my life keep my faith strong, play
football and go to college on a football scholarship then get drafted to play in the NFL, and from
there coach football after retirement. Although my course may have strayed a little the path is
still intact but it may lead to a career as a Naval Officer instead. The principals of my course
however have remained constant and my life mission is, to live my life pleasing God and my
family by using the talents God has blessed me with to help mold others into better people and be
a positive role model in their lives.
Mission
Growing up in Texas paired with being raised in the Catholic Church has definitely
influenced my outlook on life and is reflected in my life mission statement. As a young child
I was always taught to put God first in anything I do, to give anything I’m involved in my
utmost effort, and to use what he has blessed me with to be the best that I can be. These values
have always coincided with my lifelong dream of playing the NFL, although the NFL is still a
possibility my projected career as an Officer in the military still corresponds with some of my
values. Like using my talents that God blessed me with, making my family proud, and my desire
to be a positive role model for others to follow.
In leadership I have learned a lot about myself through the many discussions and surveys.
For example that five of my innate talents are relator, strategy, competition, futuristic, and
command of course I had some idea of these talents from playing over12 years of football,
but this class concreted this idea and also showed me to what extent. ...

the plebes will feel like they can talk to, both in my company and those new to the team. My
main objective is to show them how leadership is supposed to look opposed to the yelling and
complaining that my current training staff does which has no positive effect on the company
morale or anything for that matter. I will show them respect while also demanding it in the
return. I will also try to be there to support them whenever possible in to be that positive role
model that almost everyone lack as a plebe at the Naval Academy.
Though my career path may change my values and life mission has remained the same
through it all, to live my life pleasing God and my family by using the talents God has blessed
me with to help mold others into better people and be a positive role model in their lives.
Your values and expectations in life. How do you measure success? Happiness? My values all stem from God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. My family, God and my career are my successes and happiness. My expectations are to be the best I can be and to always keep trying. You can do anything you put your mind to and never give up.
their goals by meeting their needs in life by using what was given to them.
...following through with my commitments. I know I struggle sometimes with following through with commitments but I remind myself of the importance of being a trustworthy person. I focus on expressing gratitude, because I realize the significance in my life. I express gratitude because I know everything existing in my life is without reason. Integrity becomes an important value in my life, simply because I know my credibility is on the line. Working in an environment where integrity is sometimes forgotten, my duty becomes exemplifying integrity with everyone I meet. My purpose becomes a reality in my life as I am continually seeing the positivity in things concerning my life. My life purpose statement, “I am the geyser so that people spew out positivity to those around them.”
Life is a journey paved with colorful experiences. Mine have lead me on a path to helping others. Continuing my education in a subject that I find fascinating has brought me incredible fulfilment. My goal is to complete The Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program.
The most important to me is probably the money. I wan to have it just like everyone else and be able to do with what I want. No worrying no questions asked. The least important is the traveling. It's not a big deal to me as long as I'm happy where I'm at. I f I have the life that I want then why go other places.
I aspire to become a leader in my family and community inspiring those around me to maximize life to its fullest potential. To use my God given gifts and talents to apply the principles necessary, to make a significant difference in the lives of others. To live a balanced life challenging myself intellectually as well as allowing time for my mind to rest and do things I enjoy. To look at life through a child’s eyes, not being distressed about the past or worrying about the future. All the while dancing like nobody’s watching.

What made me into the person I am today? I have asked myself this question many times before, yet it all leads back to the same concept. In fact, I came to the conclusion that it is simply a summarization of our developing years. For example, some of our biggest influences, especially in those years, are our parents and friends. Our parents help shape us into the people we are today and, in most cases, we share the same values as them. In addition, our friends are also part of the reason we are who we are. They are the first group of people we interact with and whether we mean to or not, we try to imitate them as much as we can. As a result, the three values of my personal culture that make me into who I am are respect, work ethic, and joy.
The first value I chose is family. Merriam-Webster defines the word family as, "a group of people who are related to each other”. However, to me personally, I feel that family is way more than just your relatives. Family has been a huge influence in why I’m in college today and has taught me right from wrong. Family is so important to me because they thought me how to build relationships with other people, how to love, how to get, always have my back no matter what, and know me the so well. Merriam-Webster defines the word health as, “the condition of being well or free from disease”. Health is very more important to me because I want to live a longer life and it helps me become more energetic when carrying out home/work tasks. Merriam-Webster defines the word knowledge as “information, understanding, or skill that you get from experience”. Knowledge is significant to me because it helps me have a better understanding of the world and how things works. Without knowledge, we as a society could not accomplish much in life. Knowledge is a key factor in every field because it helps us humans make ethical decisions. Merriam-Webster defines the word happiness as “the state of being happy”. I believe Happiness makes life seem si...
Generosity, strong work ethic, and respectfulness are three values that my family has taught me. Each value has also been shaped by the culture in which I live in. Each value has had a strong impact on how I live my life and has shaped my perspectives, abilities, and qualities.
There are many different meanings when we type out the word “Values” in the internet. From “importance, worth or usefulness of something” to a “person’s principles or standards of behavior” and “one’s judgement of what is important in life.” (Google) All these meaning have a word in common, important. My meaning to values is what I consider important in my life, simple as that. There are over 100 values in which are all very significant in our daily lives. It is hard to choose just a few values when in reality we all want all of them even if we don’t admit we need it. If I had to choose values, it would be family, happiness, loyalty, honesty, and lastly responsibility.
us to nurture life, to love life, and to live it. Let's do our best.
Understanding who we are as individuals can be a struggle for people throughout life. It can be difficult to comprehend who we are and why we exist. There are daily outside influences that help create who we are and what our values are. Values play a significant role in our lives. They shape the choices we make and reveal a big part of our identity to the world. Some values may be more important than others, but they still manage to influence our lives in one way or another, whether we know it or not. Values can range from a tangible item to an idea that has influenced us to stand by and remember those values. The values we hold with the highest importance act as a guide and help us prioritize our purpose and goals in our daily life. My family has taught me a list of values and traits that have helped me become a well-rounded individual. I value my family more than anything because most of my core inner values have started from their teachings at one point or another. My top values that I have developed from my family are dedication, honesty, and wisdom. I will discuss who I am in terms of the important values that shape my personal belief system and decision making framework that, in essence, describes the direction of my life.
During my life, I have learned many things that I’m either expected to do or know. My family and friends have impacted my life in multiple ways that have shaped me as a person over time. These values that my family has taught me has made me the person I am today and most likely the person I will be for the rest of my life.
