There was no chance of us ever paying $1200 for this place-the number is meaningless. I made that very clear to you when you offered it to us. You agreed to the $1000 because you wanted us here. I remember you actually telling us we “had to move” here then changing your approach when you realized we were not interested.

The understanding we had was that I would be responsible for the snow blowing. That I take care this place and have done it all along was something you grew to expect.

Snaking out the line under the house does not qualify as either minor or a condition of our agreement. The price I quoted is extremely reasonable in itself and more so in light of the money you saved by not engaging a plumber on the weekend.

Helping us out through the recession is very welcome and considerate. In turn I’ve performed many services of value. It is, however, very sad I’m forced to mention them: fixing the snow blower ($500), repairing Joanne’s kitchen and bathroom sink, cleaning and shampooing the apartment, securing a tenant for you...
