What is jailbreak? Jailbreak is a something that happens when an owner of an “idevice” hacks with software. The term “idevice” is short for iPod, iPad, iPhone because instead of saying each item over and over, this term is easy to remember and saves time when speaking about technology. I believe people should decide to jailbreak their idevice because it can give more value by not following apples rules, its legal and more features.
The company named apple can seem nice to an average person, but to a jailbreakers, they ruin the freedom. Jailbreakers are persons that use software to hack their idevice because people like myself like to believe in freedom for our device. Apple is a company is managed by Tim cooks, he and his employees like to release technology products like from their famous iPods to their iPhone with updates that bring beneficial to non-tech person. This is because people who haven’t tried to jailbreak their idevice can’t see a resemblance between a feature added by Cydia and a similar on by apple. The company apple isn’t happy with people that jailbreak their idevice because to them its called unauthorized modifications which is true because they don’t know what a person does, but this ruins the believe of freed device.
Many people believe that jailbreak an idevice is illegal, but thanks to an act, it is legal to jailbreak. When people hear the word jailbreak, the first question that they asks is “is it legal?” because if it was illegal, not many people would do it. The answer to this question is yes its legal because it protected under the Digital Millennium copyright act (DMCA) because of an exemption added in October 2012. According to Condliffe’s article” Jailbreaking is now legal for smartphones-but not tablets” the following was added as the exemption to DMCA; “computer programs that enable wireless telephone handsets to execute lawfully obtained software applications, where circumvention is accomplished for the sole purpose of enabling interoperability of such applications with computer programs on the telephone handset” which means that third party software like Cydia is allowed to install and run aside by legal software with the purpose of being used inside of a telephone. To explain the added exemption is that as long the Jailbreaking software like Cydia or any other identical app doesn’t interfere with legal app like the app store from working, then any person has the legal power to jailbreak their own idevice or another person with their permission.
In doing so, they used 3 different logical structures in their arguments: precedent, degree, and analogies. Tim Cook debated with a constructive argument, “to guarantee such a powerful tool isn’t abused and don’t fall into the wrong hands is to never create it” (The Guardian, 2016). This is an example of degree argument, as the audience will automatically agree with any arguments with less of bad things because it is good. Apple knows there are no other cases like this one, so there’s nothing to compare to. Letting the government into the iPhone only this one time can set a dangerous precedent that can potentially force Apple to force open every iPhone in the future at government request. This became a heated legal battle, granting the access in their products for law enforcement was compared to “a political question” by Apple with an analogy (Yadron,
Should Apple be forced to unlock an iPhone or not? It becomes a controversial topic during these years. Most people are concerned with their privacy and security. Darrell Issa is a congressman and has served the government since 2001. Recently, he published “Forcing Apple to Hack That iPhone Sets a Dangerous Precedent” in Wired Magazine, to persuade those governors worked in the Congress. It is easier to catch administrators’ attention because some of them want to force Apple to unlock the iPhone. Darrel Issa focuses on governors because he thinks they can support the law to make sure that everyone has privacy. He addresses the truth that even some of the governors force Apple to hack iPhones when they need people’s information. He considers maintaining people’s privacy as the primary purpose. He also insists that Apple should not be forced to use their information which could lead people’s safety. In “Forcing Apple to Hack That iPhone Sets a Dangerous Precedent,” Darrell Issa uses statistics and historical evidence to effectively persuade his audience of governors that they need to consider whether or not Apple should be forced to hack or not because it could bring people to a dangerous situation and forget the purpose of keeping people’s privacy.
...d. The creation of the new operating system will also create a dangerous precedent for future companies that will affect everyone negatively. The risk that will arise from this conflict could possibly allow the FBI and hackers to all Apple customers privacy. Though making the backdoor system would help the FBI obtain all necessary information regarding the San Bernardino Terrorists, this create a domino effect that will ultimately affect all people. The FBI claims that they will only use the operating system once if they receive it but prior evident proves that it will not be true. Apple has the legal right to refuse creating a new IOS software to get suspected terrorists IPhone because it will invade all privacy of all Apple customers, it will set a precedent for future companies, and the FBI will mislead Apple into believing they will not use the IOS system again.
The topic that I will writing about is about the company of Apple and how it is a great company. I will also be talking how Apples is a utilitarian company and makes products that makes the consumers happy. Apple is one of the many electronics company that make computers, tablets, phones and iPod. Apple was a company that was founded by Steve Jobs, a college drop out on April 1, 1976. In this essay I will be discussing how Apples products make consumers happy, the philosophy of apple and how apple also makes people angry.
The biggest boom in the millennium had to be the internet. Since the start, there has been countless number of companies and products have been developed with the use of the internet in every way imaginable. The Blackberry was the pioneer of Smart phones that allowed users to access the internet wherever they were located. They could access applications that were useful in maintaining everyday activities such as E-Mail and Face book.
This paper will analyse Blackberry’s current strategy and the challenges facing the company and will conclude with a recommended guideline for a new Strategy. The approach will follow the path highlighted on the Strategic Management Process depicted below (Adopted from http://www.planning-strategy.com/):
Many people in today’s society rely on technology to help us with our daily lives and help us stay connected to family, friends, and other people. The advancements in today’s cell phone technology is very complex and made to be efficient for their owners, allowing them to surf the net and IM message people instantly. Cellphones in particular have developed very fast in the past 15 years. From my childhood, cell phones have evolved from the old school Nokia bricks that allowed texts, calls, and simple graphic games, to todays I-Phones that have higher computable capabilities than some computers. In the United States alone, there is an estimated population of around 297 million people, and 197 million people are subscribed to cell phone companies (Starr). With so many people in today’s society with so much power and opportunity in the palm of their hands, we shouldn’t forget that “With great power comes great responsibility” –Voltaire.
The workers that assembled Ipads and Iphones were working in a dangerous environment with terrible labor conditions, the accidents in the plants occurred because of the lack of safety conditions. The workers involved in an accident were often injured because of an explosion or sometimes it will cost their lives, they were working 7 days a week and often working overtime that they could hardly walk. The explosion that occurred in 2010, injured workers in Ipad factories when they were ordered to use a poisonous chemical to clean iphone screens, within 2 years, the explosion blasts killed four people and injured 77 people. Apple has been warned about the Hazardous conditions before the explosions occurred, after many accidents or suicidal, Apple did not planned to do anything about the safety conditions and labor conditions.
From the Research that I have done I have found quite a lot of risks for mobile phones. Every phone from different countries has different Security risks. Different risks affect people differently; some are on a really small scale and some risks which can ruin people’s lives.
Many Americans enjoy the sense of security and organization that they feel their cell phones give to them. They like being able to change their schedules on the go, to have a phone in case of emergency, to have a guide in case they get lost, and to take part in the upcoming technological wave that our world is enduring. People like to be up with the times, and always enjoy having a new toy. The only problem is, most people overlook the potentially serious outcomes stemming from cell phone use and abuse.
It takes advantage of both worlds, there are parents that have bought their 7 years old son/daugther an iphone just because it is the cool to have nowadays! For example, we are friends, and so are our kids, and you recently told me that you have just purchased your son an iphone. Since your son has it, I think that it would be fair to buy one for my son as well! These corporations such as Apple spends millions of dollars convincing our society especially youths that we need the newest iphone model so that we are able to keep up with our friends. We somewhat benefit from newer model such as the iphone 6/iphone 6 plus by keeping in much wit our friends and families, but Apple really benefits from it because whenever they market a new product they make a ton of money! And where we just continue to consume Apples’ products, when will we stop? Is it even possible to manage how much of goods that we consume? How can keep ourselves away from purchasing goods from these coporation that truly care and focus more about their
For the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, we expect the sales to grow in the first quarter of year one. With people still suspect about the phone there won’t be a fixed demand on a per month basis. After a couple months pending no problems with the smartphone people will have their faith in Samsung again and purchase the Galaxy Note 8. After the first year, we expect the Galaxy Note 8 to reach a profit of 1 billion dollars. During this section, I will explain the sales forecast for each month and for the next 3 years. Also, I will discuss the breakeven analysis of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the cost to build the smartphone, how much we are willing to pay for expenses and what expense we focus on the most.
The very first iPhone was announced by the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, in 2007. His vision was to reinvent the phone. iPhones have revolutionized smartphones and have shaped the cell phone industry into what it is today. On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs put together an incredible keynote presentation. He stated that he would be “introducing a wide-screen ipod with touch controls, a revolutionary mobile phone, and a breakthrough Internet device” (Ritchie, 2015). The audience assumed that this meant that Mr. Jobs would be launching three separate devices. However, it was only one device, the iPhone. Within the past 7 years, Apple has been able to tweak its iPhones by incorporating major redesigns. These redesigns use combinations

They do not believe in inventing things but reinvent and make existig thigs better. Apple did not invent the MP3 player but reinvented it and made it better. Apple did not invent the smart phone; they reinvented it and made it better. And Apple did not invent the tablet; Apple reinvented it and made it better.
