This essay is aimed at development of an academic resource nature of a learning object through which many objects can be supported. It evaluates the learning object; which has been incorporated in the modern learning. The study bases the argument on the perspective in which the learning objects are perceived to be structured materials, categorized in a meaningful way based on the educational objective. The study also evaluates on the usefulness of the topic, the benefits and costs among others. The discussion is based on the analysis of the various studies relevant to the topic together with the primary arguments for and against the learning object. The conclusion is based on the summary of the topic in which various perceptions are highlighted together with the contrast as held by various studies including Wiley (2003).

Introduction

Modern learning has incorporated the learning objects. However, the biggest issue lies at understanding exactly what the learning objects are. Probably they have been integrated in various courses with an aim of even creating some more understanding. However, there is always the issue of where to start, the issues to be considered and the promising practices to be aware of. The bewildering range of materials on the learning objects topic may find it daunting to sort through the current research with an aim of finding the tips that are practical. For these reasons, this essay is aimed at developing learning object that can be perceived as academic resources, designed at supporting the many objectives. Therefore, the study generally evaluates the learning objects on the measurement and reporting systems for the data, healthcare and information systems.
