LEAD Style preferences
The primary style is used most frequently. My primary style is High Task/High Relationship, Participating (S2, S3 with 5 responses). My primary style is divided between Participating and Selling. I received the same score and percentage in both categories. My secondary style is telling (S1). I received a score of 2 and 17% in the category. In the telling category, I value high task over relationships.
My style range is S1-S2-S3. The style range provides a sense of how flexible I am with different types of behavior in an attempt to influence others according to the Lead Assessment profile.

I have an adaptability score of 25 which is very moderate. The adaptability score implies that am somewhat likely to change my leadership style due to the situation. A high adaptability indicates a good work performance, a positive attitude, ability to take control quick when an emergency occurs; however, a low adaptability indicates the opposite such as not able to cope with stress effectively or handle more than one thing at a time.
According to Dr. Paul Hersey, There are four different types’ of leadership styles. They are telling, selling, participating and delegating. Based on my scores, my leadership is more Selling with moderate readiness. Moderate readiness indicates that I lack a certain skill or knowledge but I am willing to participate.
Task- oriented vs. People- oriented
My preferred style is S2/S3. I am more people oriented than task oriented because I scored relatively high on those questions. Being more people-oriented than task oriented help me understand people emotions when a conflict happens by knowing how to solve the problem in an appropriate way. Since am sort of people person, It can affect my work performance but putting assignments off or not completing them. The downside of being people-oriented is feeling overwhelmed or frustrated when different challenges comes at once. To improve in this area, I would need to balance the two out by more becoming more organized
