Leadership is an important role. It is the process in which a person influences and motivates others to complete their goals. True leadership begins with a true leader. Therefore, what is the definition of a true leader? A leader is someone who is trust worthy and dependable. A person you can count on to be there for you whenever you need them. A true leader is a person who is positive and has their head on their shoulders and leads by a good example. A leader is someone who is willing to listen to you. A leader is also a person who is open to trying new things and ideas from other people. A leader is neither stubborn nor selfish; they are always looking out for the people around them instead of themselves. A leader is also motivational and encourages people to try new things. A leader is someone who has their priorities together and sticks to their core values. There are a few people in my life that I look up to as a leader. My mother is one of them. My mother, Maria Richardson, is an amazing lady. She is very motivational. She is the type of person who can make you feel like you can accomplish anything. My mother looks out for everyone and helps anyone who is in the need of help. She never holds grudges. She is also strong, mentally and physically. My mother leads by a great example. She does what ever she needs to do in order to provide for her family. She is great at giving advice and lifting people’s spirit. She turns everything negative into a positive thing. She holds her values close and always stands up for what she believes in regardless of what anyone else has to say. My mother has led me down a narrow road and is helping me on my journey to success. ...vate others to work harder toward their goals as well. I will enable others to act by giving them words of encouragement and help build their confidence. As a leader, I will try to help change others in a positive way. Also, as a leader, I will continue to keep my values and beliefs close to me and never let anything get in the way.
