Leadership for Dr. DiBello meant being in charge and having responsibilities about hard decision making. The goal of her roles as a leader is to facilitate and support others’ success. She believes in delegation and supporting professional development for everybody in the organization where she works. Dr. DiBello does not think leadership is supervising, but she thinks it is providing a bigger context for people to be successful in what people do. Dr. DiBello strongly believes in transparency and sharing information. She added leaders must have a long term respective, and they are willing to make mistakes and ask for apologize. She emphasized “listen” and “credibility.” Dr. DiBello’s last advice was that leaders should be ready to deal with the unexpected—sometimes, it will be wonderful, but the other times, it will be tragic.
The other speaker is Greg Bruno, who was a district sales manager of Ricoh Americas Corporation over seventeen plus years and retired a year ago. He works as a YMCA Board member and an executive director of Franciscan ministry of Buffalo. Mr. Bruno looks spirit...
