The concept of leadership and success has significantly changed over the past years. My grandmother used to tell me that individuals who have the force own the power, while other people should comply with their rules. However, luckily, this idea is no longer applied to our modern society. These days, the new generation desires to become inspirational leaders rather than managers, who lead by authority. According to Kouzes and Posner (2011), an inner journey is vital in order to start and have a great progress as a leader. First of all, integrity imply to take responsibility and to be honest with yourself and others of your actions and intentions. That comes together with self-awareness, which is the ability to examine yourself, to recognize what is correct, wrong or needed to do, to consider the results and effects on others. Emotional and social intelligence, are critical skills to the business environment these days. Chadha (2013) described it as the ability not only to perceive and manage feelings in ourselves, but also in other people. Goleman (2004) added that mindfulness, self-control, inspiration, empathy and social abilities are the key elements of this competency. As Green (2012) said, we need to exercise our mind because it is a powerful tool that brings us many benefits. Strategic thinking is also crucial to leadership, and what is very interesting about this quality is that enables people to be visionaries.
