For future policing, I believe that it will be the same as today. In today’s time there are mass panic of riots and fear of terrorist’s attacks throughout the public. The law enforcement handling of the public have deemed questionable and been concluded, by some masses, that they are discriminate against minorities. I, for one, believe that our law enforcement is trying their hardest in keeping us all safe. Although there have been times, where situations could have been handled differently but ultimately they were not. Some cases the officer could have mistaken the victim and have consequently killed them. Or the victim could have provoked and made actions against the officer leading to dangerous consequences.
When in a life-and-death situation or when perceived threatened, a person is more likely wanting to survive and will do anything to. Most likely they forget morals and values …show more content…

Like I said in my previous discussion board, my town offers the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program at the citizen center to help local females be conscious of their surroundings and help them in difficult situations. This program is ran by the local police department and is an example of community policing. Community policing is a way for the community and the police to act as one and address problems. This concept includes the four dimensions needed to keep civilian’s safe and crime down. A police department needs a philosophy, a strategy for policing, a tactical way of deployment (like using the SARA model), and the means of being organized. A closely related concept would be that many officers use the problem-oriented policing (the SARA model is found under this policy) which helps them asses their surroundings and the issue.
