Propiedades

We placed elodea plants into three different beakers and labelled them. Since, we are trying to find how temperature can affect the rate of production of carbon dioxide, we had to place them in different temperatures. So, we labelled the first beaker “Elodea heat” and placed it in a water bath that produced sufficient amount of heat. We labelled the second one “Elodea cool” which was placed in an ice bath filled with ice. The next one “Elodea RT” where the elodea was placed under normal room temperature without any interference. And we named the last one “No Elodea” where we placed no elodea in it and kept the beaker in a dark

A fruit’s heat and lineage are very dependent on growing conditions it is in. Soil, rainfall, and climate are factors that would have the potential to alter a plant. The author questions rather the Naga King Chili would be hotter if it were grown in an area with different growing conditions. Even in regions just next to Nagaland, it is possib...
When a liquid phase and dry granular material are added to each other, then different forms of liquid distribution can be noted:
At point A the graph shows that no change in mass, of the potato, would have have occurred had we used a 0.2 (m) sucrose solution. This suggests that the concentration of water inside the potato would have been equal to the solution outside the potato. At point B (plain water), there is no indication that the cell is increasing in mass. This is because the cell is fully turgid and no more water can enter.

Two members of the group were instructed to visit the laboratory each day of the experiment to water and measure the plants (Handout 1). The measurements that were preformed were to be precise and accurate by the group by organizing a standardized way to measure the plants. The plants were measured from the level of the soil, which was flat throughout all the cups, to the tip of the apical meristems. The leaves were not considered. The watering of the plants took place nearly everyday, except for the times the lab was closed. Respective of cup label, the appropriate drop of solution was added to the plant, at the very tip of the apical meristems.
The experiment was a successful when fulfilling the expectations of the potato slice within the three solutions being mentioned on the previous paragraphs. The results when the potato slices were submerged in the isotonic solution were not surprising; the potato maintained its proper shape and weight. The hypotonic solution resulted in the potato slice to have a much tougher and heavier texture compared to its original state of form. While the potato slice within the hypertonic solution caused it to be flimsy and
