Just so no to living an unhealthy lifestyle. In order to live a long life it’s important to live a healthy lifestyle. Eating right is obviously a vital part of that. Another important part is exercising. There are many different opinions on what types of foods a person should eat or how much a person should eat on a daily basis. This paper will be discussing how the average person should eat and exercise to be healthy.
Eating healthy is a lot easier than one might think. What some people try to do is change all their eating habits in one day. This is what makes it so hard to eat better. Going from eating mostly junk to eating all healthy foods overnight will make some people want to give up within a week’s time. When trying to start a healthier diet one should take smaller steps. For example one could switch from drinking whole milk to one percent or even skim milk before taking any drastic steps to eat better.
A person doesn’t have to completely cut all bad foods out of his diet. The important thing to remember when eating anything is how much you eat. Portion control can make it easier to cut back on foods that are bad for someone. Eating a smaller portion of something than usual is one small step one can take towards a healthier diet.
Something someone should focus on when trying to eat healthy is what kinds of food he eats. One should try to include all the food groups on a daily basis. Throughout the day when someone eats a meal half of his plate should be fruits and vegetables. A fruit would be something like an apple, banana, orange, or any type of berry. A vegetable would be something like a carrot, celery, broccoli, or kale. The other half of his plate should be one quarter healthy protein, and one quarter whole grains...
