Abraham, Isaac Jacob and Joseph all had lives inspired by God and I love reading about bible stories about that. This lives of these 4 men lead to the Israelites coming into existence. This will show you the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph and of the Old Testament.
The life of Abraham is amazing he had many careers he was a semi nomadic shepherd that God revealed himself to and made covenants of Abrahams offspring which would be the nation of Israel. Abraham believed in God’s covenant with him and that affected his life in a good way. Abraham was born in the city of Ur and was Hebrew. He moved with his father Terah to Haran. When God called Abraham he went to live in Canaan. He also lived in Shechem, Bethel, Hebron and the Negev desert. According to research, Abraham led army men to rescue his nephew Lot from the kings who captured him. Abraham had a son named Ishmael who was the king of the Arab countries. Abraham’s heir Isaac was a miracle from God. Abraham respected God so much that he would sacrifice Isaac but an angel of the Lord came down and told him not to kill Isaac because he was going to be the father of the 12 tribes of Israel and the Israelites which are God’s chosen people. Abraham’s name used to be Abram and his current name Abraham which God gave him. Abrahams ancestors worshiped false gods and were polytheists. Rachel one of Abraham’s wives stole Laban’s house gods which were her fathers. Research shows that in lower Mesopotamia and in Ur there were instances of moon worship. There were main instances of moon and sun worship. In the town of Sumer there were ziggurats where they held moon worships. The time later than Abraham the Israelites’ were warned not to worship the sun, moon, and the stars. Abrah...
