I started my field placement at the Edward Village Hotel in North York on September 6th 2016. During my 150 hours working at Edward Village I was giving the opportunity to work and gain experience in both the housekeeping and front desk department. While working in the housekeeping department I had many different job duties, I would do room checks, fold laundry and sometimes help with cleaning the rooms. Within my short experience at the front desk I have learned a lot that will help me in the tourism industry. My job duties were helping with the guest needs, cleaning and organizing the front desk area and lastly answering and transferring phone calls.
Goals while working at the hotel I set two goals that I focused on to complete

My first goal was easy to complete. In order to reach my goal I had to ask my fellow co-workers and supervisor what to look for when checking a room. I also had to watch them to visually learn how it’s done. For my first goal I believe I was successful fairly quickly at completing it. After only a few times of being overlooked and accommodated by my supervisor, I was able to find the right things to look for and confidently be able to complete the check by myself.
My second goal was to help my co-workers cleaning a room without having to ask questions about the cleaning procedures My second goal was successfully completed by visually learning and writing down the procedures of how to clean the rooms. This was a harder goal to complete, while working along side my co-workers it was hard to communicate, many spoke little to no English so it became a challenge when looking for clarification., I relied mostly on visually watching what they did to lean myself. then I would write down what in saw in my notebook to remember the correct procedures.

I never had an issue and everyone was friendly. Although sometimes I felt left out or unwelcomed due to the language barrier, they mostly talked among themselves and did little to try and encloud me in a conversation.
During my time at Edward Village the co-workers were fairly supportive towards each other while working at the front desk. My co-workers and supervisor were very encouraging when I was learning the complicated reservation system like Opera, they answered all my questions and were very patient with me. As far as training, while working in the housekeeping department I was given vary little training with the duties I was assigned to do. Many induvial working in the housekeeping department speak little to no English, it was difficult to ask questions or even learn properly because of the barrier. Although when I had the opportunity to experience front desk department. It was a lot easier for me not only because they were fluent in English but they had the patient’s and took the time to train me properly. Showed me what to do then shadowed me while I tried myself. They were always there if I needed clarification or help with
When given the option to choose a life of transience or permanence, what does Ruth decide and why?
Throughout Marilynne Robinson’s works, readers are often reminded of themes that defy the status quo of popular ideas at the time. She explores transience and loneliness, amongst other ideas as a way of expressing that being individual, and going against what is deemed normal in society is acceptable. Robinson utilizes traditional literary devices in order to highlight these concepts.

I completed 1 month of work experience with Card Factory where I started by stacking shelves in the stock room and making sure it was clean and tidy by health and safety rules. I got some experience with working with customers on the shop floor, responding to their queries about where certain products were located and if they need any help, I spoke to them in a calm and friendly matter and made sure they were the first priority when I was busy doing other
I ensure goals I set I reach them and as I reach them I take my goals on the next step which is higher than the last one.
A goal I achieved was when I graduated from high school many years ago. I was the first one in my family to graduate from high school. It was a big accomplishment for me and my mom. Graduating was my goal. I wanted to make my mom proud, life happens I couldn't go to college then but I told myself one day I will full field my dream to have a career. I meet my career advisor at a job fair and am here enrolled to be a medical assistant. My new goal is to work real hard to get the best grades I can possibly get and to have perfect attendance at the end off the medical assistant program. Am going use my time wisely, get all my work done in time and ask for help if I don't understand something.
The first philosophy “One Minute Goal Setting” makes tasks assigned to the individual clear and precise. The manager first expresses goals that need to be accomplished. Once an agreement is made, each goal is written down in 250 words or less. It is strongly held that it should take no more than a minute to read. You should reinforce each goal throughout the day. Also take time to look at your performance and see if your behavior matches your goals.
Golden lights cast long shadows across her face and on her smile, sweet like cinnamon. Her fingers encased in his grip and her eyes fawning over him.
First establish a short term and long term goals to reach. Goals help me pave the path. Although everyone can see their roads, but not see the path clearly. By utilizing a short term goal, makes it easier to succeed, like the steps of a ladder and get to complete overall long term goals, for example, my short term goal is to complete my require classes to get to my major. My long term goal will be graduating with my associates degree or a fourth year degree.
Everyone was incredibly nice and always smiling, the only reason I say uncomfortable is because I wanted to understand what they were saying. An interpreter was along with us the entire trip, and I learned the ethics of using someone to interpret a conversation. While the native would speak, I kept eye-contact with them as the interpreter spoke the statement in english. When I responded, I addressed the question to the native, not the interpreter. Along with this, we would use nonverbal communication gestures such as nodding or shaking your head, and smiling of course.
make sure that the goals I have picked out. each have their own place and time. so I can do each
In the future Tall Pines should plan weekly staff development meetings, and problem solving conferences to help workers get used to common and not so common problems that may occur at Tall Pines. Help workers develop problem-solving skills, develop a mentor program that can discuss employee concerns and also be great feedback to the training program. Adding a training professional to the Tall Pines staff would be a huge benefit to all involved management and workers. This would highly benefit future training programs by learning from past mistakes and help in perfecting future training programs.
Setting priorities and goals are solid groundwork for completing any project. The last project I was assigned independently was to create a system to track defibrillator and pacemaker checks which were performed by the patient in their home. The checks were scheduled and the patient had complete them on a specific date. Then they were scanned into their chart and billed. I successfully created a system for documenting all of the above actions to ensure there were no missed checks, they were performed on the correct date, successfully scanned into the patients chart and billed correctly. This project took approximately one month to complete. I set my goals as stated above, I laid the groundwork by collecting the required information on each patient including which device they had implanted, how often the device was to be scheduled and which charges should be incurred. The outcome was a successful tracking system which performed it's duty.
I will also make sure my goals are idealistic and they are able to be met. My diagnose the situation goal is before I jump in on a new project or a new decision, I will collect the information that is given to me, double check and make sure I am able to do it and then I will make the decision and go for the project with a well-laid out plan. My energize others goal is when negotiating with others, I will view the person views and ideas before I get upset about their opinions if it’s something that is not something I believe in and as well as I will be flexible when compromising to change either my view or theirs. My facilitate intervention goal is when capturing the attention of others, I will be engaging and
