Going to a community college is better than going to a vocational school straight out of high school. Vocational schools always have a lot to offer because they deal directly with one field of technology, but community colleges are more diverse and can get you a better set of skills to work out in the world. With the schools I’m considering it comes down to MIT and IVCC, being as my plans are to become an electrical engineer or a design drafter. When deciding between these schools I should consider what sort of housing they have, what athletics they offer, whether or not they have parking, what kinds of classes do they have, and all the degrees that they offer in my field of interest.
Electrical engineering is a specific area of engineering that has to do with analyzing and applying what you know to electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism (Wikipedia, “Electrical”). This field of engineering has a large variety of subfields, including: electronics, digital computers, power engineering, telecommunications, control systems, and many more (Wikipedia, “Electrical”). One reason why I want to go into electrical engineering is that there are so many choices for a career path to branch to and everything comes to me so easily. I find that I enjoy the work that I do and it’s something that I am exceptionally good at. I can really see myself doing this as a lifelong career and not having to worry about getting stuck in a dead end job. The only thing I have to do to get started is decide what school I want to go to and which one will help me get to where I want to be, the best.
Courses I will have to take for Electrical Engineering if I attend MIT will be: ET-121 Computer Systems & Applications, ET-127 Materials and Methods, ET-129 Gen...

After twelve years of school, where will you go next? Many of you have developed the ambition to prolong your education and attend college. Today, there are many more options than there were in the past. One does not have to graduate high school and go straight to a four year university. It is sometimes better for a student to go to a community college and focus on transfer courses or simply get an Associate’s Degree. On the other hand, there are young adults that prefer to leap straight into a university and focus on the specific program for their Bachelor’s Degree.
For a student who is unsure of a major or what they want to do in life, it is a better decision to choose to go to a community college first. The reason behind that is so a student can find what they are looking for. A community college gives a chance for everyone to make their dreams come true rather is you know your major or still looking for what your future holds. As an example for my personal experience, I have many friends back at home to choose community even though they wanted to go to a
When students are in high school, is the end, they are finally free after 13 years of schooling, but for many people graduating from high school is just the beginning. After graduating from high school, students are faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to continue on with their education. And if they do decide to continue on with their education, what form of education will they choose. There are a variety of different options open to students each accompanied by their own pros and cons. These options include; no school, 4-year university, or 2-year community college.
WyoTech is part of Zenith Education Group, a non-profit career college system. In making a decision on whether college or vocational schools are better, there are advantages and disadvantages to consider for each. Vocational schooling gives career preparation but also limits students in their career. College gives variety and flexibility, while putting the student sometimes in debt. No matter the choice, the student is stepping forward into a better opportunity for himself.
Electrical Engineers research, develop, design, and test electronic components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications (Cosgrove 749). They are concerned with devices that use small amounts of electricity that make up electronic components such as integrated circuits and microprocessors. By applying principles and techniques of electronic engineering they design, develop, and manufacture products such as computers, telephones, radios, and stereo systems (EGOE, 121). Electrical engineers touch everyone lives through the things they have designed or created. Electrical engineers have invented the lights in your house, the television, the stereo, the telephone, computers, and even your doctor’s blood pressure gauge (Stine 300).
Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Having a strong zeal towards Information System and Computer Programming, I have also learned different languages like C, C++, SQL and PL/SQL.
Engineering has been a key interest of mine since childhood. While still in grade school I enjoyed listening to my father, an electrical engineer, teach me about advances in technology, and was always eager to hear more. I was introduced to my first computer at the age of five, and have loved interacting with them ever since. My decision to study engineering as a career was no surprise to those who knew me.
While I was in high school, not only was I an active volunteer in several activities such as food drives and helping those in need, in addition to community work, but also I became invested in engineering sciences due to my perceptions regarding the importance of electrical engineering to an emerging industrial country such as mine. Therefore, as I was to graduate soon, I decided to specialize in this science as a student and future professional. Fortunately, through my undergraduate studies, not only did I found the science to be highly intriguing and vast giving way access to endless disciplines, but I have also found that it is very much correlated to numerous other sciences. This observation prompted me to further delve in my studies to become one day a well-informed engineer.
What makes me feel worried after I graduate from high school? Indeed, a big problem is people always compare universities and colleges. A great many students want to go straight to the big or famous universities after they graduate from high schools. Likewise, some people think college students will have less chance than universities students. Also, they always keep in their mind that universities offer a higher level of education than colleges. On the other hand, one of my friends shows evidences to prove that he enjoys his college life, and he thinks studying in a university is not the destination for his life. In fact, do you know what makes you have a good future? The exciting things that during discussing with my friends, they gave me 3 suggestions: we need to know a basic definition of community college and university, students disagree with university is the only way to be success, and some students know which one is the best for them.
My decision to become an electrical engineer was not a decision I took too long ago. It is something that I decided to pursue when I entered a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) high school. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed working with computers and building circuits, and the fact that this career involved many subjects. Doing a lot of research to understand better what it meant to be an Electrical Engineer, I found out that in order to succeed in this career one had to know a little bit of everything. In other words, subjects such as science and math are essential to know if someone wants to be successful electrical engineer. An electrical engineer is someone who finds practical solutions to everyday problems that involve electricity, such as computers, cell phones, among other electrical equipments. In order to create a useful device one must know where to start and this is where science comes in. An electrical engineer must be able to use the scientific method, which means; one must form a procedure, test it out, and write a conclusion. These parts of the scientific method must be written clearly, so that others can recreate and test out a device or project. Math also plays a key role in this area of study, because one must be precise when creating a new device that others are going to use. For example, if one were to create a new type of cell phone one must know a lot of math in order to be able to progr...
The word engineer comes from the latin word ingeniare. ingeniare means construct or craftsmanship. Ever since the beginning of time we have had engineers. Engineering is the combination of math and science , solving world problems to help better the world around us. Being an engineer takes a lot of knowledge, creativity, and hard work. A typical engineer can clearly see a problem and is capable of fining a solution. A senior engineer or engineering manager usually doesnt do as much technical work, but usally lot of managing. Some of the first official engineers were military engineers. They were employed by the goverment to build such things as roads, bridges, and weapons. US mililary Academy at Westpoint was the first school to offer an education in enginnering. Engineering is a very broad field. Engineers are always at a high demand, we could never have enough brilliant minds making the world better. Engineers are needed everywhere. Engineering managers have to have a bachelor's degree or higher, they usually direct and seek solutions to problems and are sometimes called executi...
One career in the technological industry is a computer engineer. A computer engineer is a person who designs hardware or software for computers. Computer engineers do research to determine what people want and need to make their lives easier. Computer engineers sometimes work on a team to think of new ideas and concepts. Engineers generally should like activities of a technical nature, problem solving, and math. An engineer should probably like working with numbers and thinking logically.
After get understanding with the basic definition of electrical engineering, it is time to find out that is this major right for me. ' If you enjoy taking things apart, seeing how they work, and then putting them back together again, this major should suit you very well'. Additionally, an engineering degree should be a serious consider...
“Knowledge, experience and the quality education are the best accomplishment in the race of life” is the statement in which I strongly believe and I forever yearn to have that. What is innovative today is obsolete tomorrow. We need to constantly streamline and upgrade our tools and resources. I believe that only an in depth study and an extensive research in my field of interest will help me to achieve my goal. I live in a world of changing times where technology is constantly engineering better lives. Brought up in a liberalized, humane and a capriciously technically charged environment, I see myself being a consistent part of constant changes around me. Today, my thoughts and aims in life spring from and centre around the world of Electrical Engineering.
