Introduction:

In today's modern world, television is the most popular and recognized form of media and most homes in the western and developed worlds own one. That small (in some cases rather large) box sitting in your lounge is your connection to the outside world. It is an indispensable item and many of us cannot imagine life without it. The TV can be good such as to bring news to us when it matters. However, the average time spent watching TV is about 4:30 hours per day. In other words, we waste a lot of time sitting in front of a screen. This essay will be explaining what TV does, the history of television, the advantages of television, the disadvantages and if it is really that needed.

Inner Workings of a Television:

Television or TV is a system that moves video and sound from one place to another. It is one of the most used and popular forms of communication. TV provides programmes such as news and reality television. TV is all starts with a video camera which records pictures and sound. The camera then changes these two aspects into electrical signals which is then received by the television which changes the pictures and sound back into reality. All this shall be explained in much more detail

The TV Signal:

As it said before, the standard camera makes a signal. However, there is two parts in this signal. The pictures a video signal. The pictures are turned into pixels. The camera’s microphone picks up the sound and changes it into a different signal. These two signals are then reunited at the TV.
