Engineering is considered as one unique field in the society. Be it locally or globally, there would always be growing demand to solve problems. But engineering is just not a career to help resolve issues of daily lives; it has become a key path to development in many aspects. With such complex diversity, engineers nowadays need more than just a handbook to contribute to the society. In Malaysia alone, there are more unregistered engineering undergraduates than registered Professional Engineer (PE) that work in government & private sectors. This raises a question: Does that mean majority of unregistered engineers do not have to abide by the code of professional conduct regulated by Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) & Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) ? Technically speaking, only members of the group are bound to follow & adhere to the code of conduct. However the notion of occupational ethics should not be forgotten as well. Ethics is defined as compilation of moral values & principles that is meant to guide code of conduct of individuals & organizations. Taking case of the assignment, as an experienced, knowledgeable engineer, the sense of responsibility to clients, individuals & society should already be deep instilled into their mindset. By using the title of Ingineur, engineers should imply that they possess a shared understanding of proper conduct guidelines among their profession. Together with this notion, the act of adhering to code of professional conduct is to be sustained; not bound against wealth, reputation, power or working experience.

....” Even though securing the profitability of the firm is important, but moral ethic prevails. The act of campaigning for third party, in certain point of view is considered as putting focus on wrong side. The engineer’s quality of his service will be doubted, as well as diminishing the credibility of his firm.
In all, all speculations being made by the engineer’s decision of campaigning for the political leader can only be realized upon the winning of the by-election. A promise will remain as a commitment yet to be achieved. But from here we could conclude that the engineer will cost more than he could earn for the firm, if he promised the political leader. And most importantly, code of ethics in engineer profession does its job well in ensuring interests of all parties are protected. This is what an engineer should always consider as long as he serves the society.
A personal code of ethics entails written ideas and beliefs that guide one on how they should behave and relate to their family, colleagues, and the society at large. My personal code of ethics act as a foundation for distinguishing good from bad deeds and assists me to determine the rightful emotions and actions to engage in. My family, friends, and the society play a major part in the development of my personal principles and values, including excellence, integrity, responsibility, ambition, respecting family, accountability, and determination. The values enable me to associate well with my family, colleagues, friends, and the society. This paper describes my personal code of ethics in detail and compares it to the United Nation’s (UN) Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the NASWA Code of Ethics.
To clarify, the Engineering Code of Ethics is the set of rules established by the National Society of Professional Engineers that all engineers are expected to adhere to. In essence, the fundamental tenets of this code are that all engineers are expected to prioritize public safety, as well as be honest with their clients and the general public while only doing work that they are qualified to do. (“Code of Ethics,” n.d.). The reason this code is crucial in this case is because it offers guiding principles for the men and women who are in charge of so many of the various structures and buildings that are used by everyone in society. If the engineering population were to fail to adhere to this code, many people’s lives would be put in jeopardy; buildings might crumble, planes may crash, and bridges could collapse. This means that this code serves to keep engineers in check so that the world maintains stability, therefore its importance cannot be emphasized enough. Furthermore, since this code is nationally recognized, if a company’s engineers were to violate any aspect of it, it would be seen nation-wide as a misuse of power for the sake

In order to become a world-class engineering student, I will have to continue to be conscious of academic dishonest behavior, alerting my professors if I am witness to its occurrence and deterring myself from it, in addition to familiarizing myself with the professional ethical codes related to engineering as engineers are expected to exhibit these fundamental principles when fulfilling their professional duties.

There are many obstacles to coming up with a good design for engineers. Taking an ethical approach, one should be able to assume that the design they asked for was given due diligence and put together by a team of professional engineers who live by the Code of Ethics for their professional organization.
When Christian students graduate from high school and begin their journey into college, a distinction is often made between those going into full-time ministry and those working towards a secular career. Although it is uncommon for students pursuing a secular career to be criticized for their decision, those pursuing pastoral work or foreign missions are sometimes viewed as working towards a “higher calling” from God. They have surrendered their entire career over to the Lord. The profession of engineering is, by definition, a secular career field. However, a Christian engineer is able to serve and worship God through his or her career in a unique way. A Christian worldview both validates and adds depth to the engineering profession.
Ethics is the moral behavior that guides our actions; it motivates us in our personal behavior and is relevant in a business setting as well. Many organizations have set forth a set of guidelines known as a “Code of Ethics”. The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, being one of these organizations, has set forth their code as a requirement for students and engineer members to adhere to. Heading towards a career in electrical engineering I choose this organization to elaborate on for my ethics project.
Ethics refer to those habits or standards that are considered to show good character and conduct. In the professional practice of engineering, engineers are confronted with different ethical issues and interpersonal conflicts. These cases could range from a small scale involving few people to larger conflicts where the outcome influences the engineering community and the society at large. Classically, engineering education does not duly address the needs for ethical education to be incorporated into the technical curriculum. However, it has become axiomatic that engineers must exhibit good ethical behavior because safety of the people and the environment rely on the quality of the designs/services that engineers provide.

The civil engineering field is about gathering and interpreting data, being able to give technical presentations to colleagues, team work to design and build a project, projects range from the design and construction of dams, bridges, buildings, roads, and water supply systems. In most cases the works of engineers are admired and sought after. Engineers play an important role in the development and improvement of a society. Yet, like other technical and non-engineering careers the civil engineers also face issues, for example, regarding ethics, high energy building consumption, increased soil and coastal erosion, inadequate water quality, traffic congestion, and some poor infrastructures resilience to disasters. Another example is that unfortunately in the United Kingdom, the civil engineering industry is highly fragmented with 93% of companies having 14 or fewer employees which is not always a great idea, as written by John Miles in Civil Engineering Informatics. There is also a need to implement new professional and educational approaches to new challenges and new implications that are needed for the twenty-first century society. This paper will introduce and explain five different issues that civil engineers are currently facing and elaborate about how these challenges interrelate to each other.
Engineering ethics focuses on the behavior of the individual - the engineer, and the development of ethical standards governing their professional activities. Engineering ethics has always existed as a set of rules or a system that governs the behavior of an engineer.
