During the school year, Saturdays are an extra day you have to study before a huge test or to complete one of the best essays ever written. Although, some Saturdays we have spare time and decide to get out rather than burying ourselves with homework. College is indeed a full-time job, but at the same we must find time for memorable moments. I would like to travel back to a Saturday when I had to camp out for shoes to receive one of the greatest sneakers of all time, the “Bred 11’s”.
Camping out for shoes may sound kind of unordinary, but it’s something you have to do when it’s a sneaker that everyone wants. Some shoes can be so limited that you have to make the line at least the first fifty people to get a chance to purchase them. Through this tradition, people have been killed, stabbed, and even robbed over shoes. Ridiculous right? The love of shoes has caused so much chaos over the years, that most stores have started to choose the option of raffling tickets instead. Raffling tickets are safer and it gives everyone a chance to purchase a shoe, and its also a quicker process as well. My facial expression looked as if I walked into class and my professor informed me that I had failed the final exam. The line was so enormous that I just wanted to turn around and go back home. There were about eighty people in line at least, and my heart just dropped. I had definitely underestimated the crowd as I didn’t expect it to be so many people at that time.
