Is being an athlete just this glamorous lifestyle we make it be?
College basketball has developed into one of the dominating figures in entertainment today creating a mass following and an immense amount of media attention. On the outside looking in these athletes seem to have a good life, traveling across the nation playing the sport they love while receiving a full scholarship for college in the progress. Can there be any downside to this lifestyle? In short, yes, media impacts the life of these student athletes much more than we know. Media often time tends to impact the viability of an athlete’s success in the classroom, social and psychological lives.

Athletes cannot interact with people back home if they do not have their phone numbers or direct way to contact them as some schools ban the use of social media as a whole. So as a whole it is easy to see how they have been restricted from mainstream society and how they interact in today 's day and age. Socially athletes are affected in their ability to interact with outsiders.
