To begin, according to the Merriam Webster dictionary, “abortion is the spontaneous or induced termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus.” Frankly speaking, abortion is the deliberate act or termination of a life (pregnancy). Most often the abortion is performed during the first twenty-eight (28) weeks of the pregnancy. Life begins upon the sperm and egg culminating/conception, whether this implantation/merging is called an embryo or fetus, it is in fact a human being. To abort a life is a heinous crime and should be considered and prosecuted as murder, unless the mother’s life would be in danger, if the fetus, embryo, baby, or child was carried to full term.
We have defined life and abortion, but what is death? To abort that fetus or embryo is described by the Merriam Webster dictionary as death. Death is to end a life either by normal/ natural channels, accidental death, or abortion, which is taking of a life or murder. Abortion is definitely a violation of another human being’s right to live. Humans are created by a creator and given the gift of life, thus to take a person’s life that is not in the position to defend or speak on one’s own behalf is to impose your will upon another human being. An embryo/fetus/baby is at the mercy of the mother or/and the abortionist; thus to terminate the life of the fetus is death and deemed as murder.
Some might argue that miscarriage is the same as abortion but, according to the Merriam Webster dictionary, miscarriage is defined as “when the fetus is extracted from the womb, before it is capable of surviving on its own.” This is caused by natural causes and not induced in any way by any other human being....

Abortion Is The Murder Of An Innocent Essay

- First of all, abortion is the murder of an innocent, unborn child. Pro-choice people will argue that a fetus is dependent on its mother and cannot survive alone; they contest that because a fetus lacks properties of a human being such as reason, consciousness, and self-awareness, they are not human and therefore it is just to “terminate” them (Jones). This wicked and corrupt thought process could not be more wrong. Much of the murder debate revolves around when life actually starts. Conservatives that are pro-life argue that life begins at conception, while pro-choice liberals argue it does not start until actual birth, when they consider the child to be “viable.” Jerome Lejeune is a French...   [tags: Abortion, Pregnancy, Human, Fetus]

Abortion should be banned because too many babies are being killed from abortion, baby’s have been reported to survive abortions, and if you don't want a child or you don’t feel you could raise it you could always put it up for adoption. - In this paper I plan on showing you my point of view as well as the opposite point of view using a point by point basis. Each paragraph will be a statement from the opposite point of view and then my rebuttal.      The pro-choice side of this argument says that abortion should be kept legal for cases in which the baby’s birth endangers the life of the mother. Abortion is Not Murder Essay example

- Abortion is Not Murder Is abortion murder?  Murder is defined as "illegal killing with malice aforethought." Abortion fails this definition for two reasons. First, abortion is not illegal, and second, there is no evidence to suggest that expecting mothers feel malice towards their own flesh and blood. Not all killing is murder, of course. Murder is actually a small subset of all killing, which includes accidental homicide, killing in self-defense, suicide, euthanasia, etc. When pro-life activists call abortion "murder," they are suggesting that abortion fits the definition of murder, namely, "illegal killing with malice aforethought." However, abortion fails this definition for two reaso...   [tags: Argumentative Persuasive Topics]
