It all began with the day Iron Griffin changed the government to a communist country. The sirens the hover cars the police rang out my ears from out side. “Beedo, Beedo, Beedo, Beedo, Beedo.” Catbug woke up immediately, and sprinted to turn on the holoscreen. The tv spoke “Breaking news, the Iron Griffin has changed the government to a communist country. With the help of his Greymages, Deep Shadows, and Westeronin he has overthrown the Falcon and taken over the country.” As soon as Catbug heard this he passed out onto the hard wooden floor. Catbug woke up with in little blood puddle from his head. He stumbled to the kitchen to go bandage his head up. He went to get his holo aid in his kitchen. He turned in on an spoke to it “Small bleeding in the right side of the head, need bandaging in the right with gauze and wire splint.” The holo aid hand reached out to apply gauze to the head and bandaged the right side up with wire splint. As soon as Catbug regained his consciousness he immediately called his close friends on the government council to make a resistance force. Within one weeks time Catbug had created a resistance force to take over Shadowland. Smog, the resistance morale leader. Prime, the resistance weapons dealer and supplier. Cook, the resistance war general and war strategist. Throat-cutter, the resistance personal ninja assassin. Tripwires, the resistance leader’s personal guard. Demo-men, the resistance main army. Catbug, the leader of the resistance plotting against the Iron Griffin. The enemy Iron Griffin the communist leader of the Shadowlands. Iron Griffin’s grey mages, his evil communist personal Shadowland assassins. Iron Griffin’s deep shadow, his evil communist personal guard of his communist Fort Thunde... ... middle of paper ... ...” Catbug yelled. “I’M NOT SURE BUT LET’S GO FIND OUT,!” yelled Cook. The trip-wires and demo-men stormed the base killing anyone in sight. Within a matter of minutes the resistance army stormed the enemy base, killed the enemy guards, and found the dead body of Iron Griffin. “WE’VE WON THE WAR,!” yelled Cook. “WE HAVE SAVED THE SHADOWLANDS,!” yelled Prime. The resistance army celebrated the victory by giving every citizen of the Shadowlands their money back. And having a great feast in the great of of the Iron Griffin’s base. “We actually did it,” said Throat-Cutter. “We can now rehabilitate the land for the greater good,” said Catbug. Catbug later made himself king of Shadowlands, and changed the government back to a democracy. Within three years they had rebuilt the destroyed bases. Restored order, and made their lands a safe and peaceful place to live.

First, those involved with the battle were General Ulysses S. Grant of the Union States (US) and Lieutenant General John C. Pemberton of the Confederate States (CS). Forces engaged in the battle encompassed the Army of the Tennessee (US) and the Army of Vicksburg (CS). Grant’s army had assembled 15 miles worth of trenches and also enclosed the force of Pemberton’s of 29,000 men within the perimeter. There had been 70,000 troops of Grant. Thought were attempts in order to save and rescue Pemberton and his force, these attempts had failed both from the east and west. For both military personnel and civilians, their condition had been deteriorating rapidly.
Stalin and Trotsky: Patrons of World Domination. One of the most well-known countries in the world is Russia. Since the Paleolithic Period, Russia has faced misfortune and difficulties through its brutal leaders. Every change that has made this country more inclusive has been won with toil, tears, and blood.
Throughout our lives, we have learned that when strong vs. week, the strong usually wins. Unfortunately, it does not always happen like that for government or elected individuals. Normally, no one would think that oppression leads to communism, but because of real life events involving the US and the government of another country, it is somehow in our minds. This is the point George Orwell uses in his book Animal Farm. He uses characters such as Snowball and Napoleon to illustrate how absolute power corrupts absolutely.
T.H. White’s novel, “The Sword in the Stone,” took place in the Middle Ages, when feudalism was the dominant political structure and knighthood held a high prestige. Thus, White wrote the novel stemming from the theme of warfare. However, he combined the themes of Medieval warfare with the contemporary warfare of the early-to-mid 20th century, the time period in which the novel was written. As a result, the historical allegories can be drawn between episodes in the book and warfare in the 20th century, especially World War 2. The episodes of the pike and the ants reflect totalitarian, fascist, and communist views, respectively in that order, whereas the geese serves as a society absent of violence, therefore demonstrating White’s pacifist values
Although George Orwell’s Animal Farm was created in order to mimic individuals as well as occurrences that took place during the Russian Revolution period, it is still possible to gain a comprehensive understanding of the text without a past knowledge of history through the exploitation of human nature’s imperfections. Following the publishment of his novel, Orwell confirmed that his goal in writing this fable was to expose the wrongdoing of the Soviet Union as well as the treachery of the true ideas of the Revolution. Nonetheless, there have been several other examples of events such as the French Revolution that can effortlessly be contrasted against components of the allegory. However, we need not to dig no deeper than to the fundamental faults in human nature to witness the catastrophic consequences that attributes such as hierarchy, propaganda and betrayal have on today’s society.
Imagine a world where every person is equal: everyone has the same possessions, everyone shows respect to each other, no one kills anyone else, and no authority rises over others to give dictating commands. It sounds wonderful doesn’t it? George Orwell’s haunting book Animal Farm shows however, the near impossibility it is to make that idea a reality. In this fairy tale, a group of oppressed farm animals revolt against the tyrannical bonds of their evil master Farmer Jones, chases him off the farm, and attempt to make a society based on the idea listed above. But instead of having this incredible society, the pigs decide to make one instead where they are the ultimate authority. This book highlights the dangers of trying to establish an equal society under the ideas of communism, and also has poignant symbolic characters that display historical figures in new lights.
Considering communist China's recent increased aggression, and deteriorating relations between them and the United States, the dangers of this novel must be weighed carefully. It is often taught in schools, despite the fact that it promotes un-American and anti-capitalist views. With today's political tension, do we really want our youth exposed to literature that encourages them to mistrust the government and supports a communist revolution?
George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” is a political allegory based off the Russian Revolution of 1917, where the author explores the cruel dictatorship of Napoleon, and his comrade Snowballs views on Animalism. The value that both Snowball, and Napoleon share is mainly the factor of pig’s superiority, however, there are attributes they both contrast in; Snowballs goal to create egalitarian communism while Napoleon is in favor of gaining power over the animals.
In William Golding’s novel, The Lord of the Flies,he uses his writing to portray many hidden messages. From demonstrating how man can be self destructive, to how our society can influence the minds of young children. The book which was written out of the tension of World War II, is about a group of British school boys who end up on a deserted island after the plane crashed when it was shot down. They boys find themselves with no adults and struggling to remain civilized and have order. One of the main messages that William Golding is portraying in this novel is his political views and how he believes a democracy is a better form of governments. He does this with the conch, the two separate groups, and
...e of the auxiliaries – the warrior class. This is a worthy goal to pursue but may never truly exist because while man has the ability to reason, that reason is always bound to become misguided over time and degrade into the four different political constitutions discussed earlier in this paper.
One of many Soviet leaders that changed the path the country was taking. Vladimir Lenin was the political leader after the successful Bolshevik Revolution In 1917. Lenin did many things that changed the path of Russia, renamed the Soviet Union after he seized power in 1917. Lenin was the grand mastermind behind the Bolshevik party and he led the revolution that allowed him to seize power and in turn create a communist state. Lenin then proceeded to create the "New Economic Policy" that led The Soviet Union into an economic uprising, allowing individual businesses to price their own goods and services, also known as capitalism (http://www.bbc.co.uk). Even though Lenin was sometimes a ruthless yet remarkable politician, he was well respected by the people for leading them into this economic prosperity (http://www.pbs.org). Lenin revolutionary prowess in succeeding to overthrow the Russian government and putting into power his own inspired many other revolutionaries like Fidel Castro (http://www.pbs.org). Finally, his own respected reputation led Josef Stalin to "Photoshop" himself with Lenin to gain respect by the people of the Soviet Union. Lenin lead the newly created Bolshevik party to the success of the October Revolution, the success of the Civil war between the Mensheviks, the allied powers and the Russian people versus the Bolsheviks, the communist party, and he then proceeded to create the "New Economic Policy" that led the newly formed USSR into economic prosperity.
Vladimir Lenin, who’s real name was Vladimir Ilch Ulyanov, played an important role in shaping the character of the twentieth century western world. He oversaw the most far-reaching revolution that in 1917 radically changed the political and social structure of Russia and balance of power in the world. Being an important historical figure in Russia, Lenin is treated more like a god. To the Russian public, he is presented as strong, wise, courageous, and kind. Lenin’s infallibility, or accuracy, was so strong that his words pervaded every level of daily life. Such as newspapers, storybooks, etc. Children were taught to follow his example and adults were told to follow his path and advice on how to be hardworking, loyal communists. Since the revolution more than 350 million works by Lenin have been published in the former USSR. He is the ultimate mentor and guide for all soviets, like he was a god or idle. He had the final authority on every aspect of their life. Anyone who visits the Soviet Union then and now is bound to be shocked by the utter extravagance of the nation’s adulation with him. Americans today can not even grasp why the Soviets idolize one man so much. It inspires guilt in Americans about their own revolutionary past. But, to the extremes of which the worship of Lenin is carried makes us ask ourselves who he really was.
