Invincible: My Journey from Fan to NFL Team Captain

Invincible is an incredible autobiography by Vince Papale with Chad Millman. This is a book that is about the life of Vince Papale. This book has great characterization, and it has an unbelievable detail on the behalf of Vince Papale and Chad Millman. This book teaches many things to the reader. This book is an amazing work of art that has much emotion in it.

There are many characters in this novel that helped support Vince Papale in his life. His father, Fancis Papale, is a man who was raised during the Great Depression, and does not show much emotion. His mother, Almira Papale, used to be very athletic, but then she slowly grew mentally sick as she got older. He had a lot of coaches as he was growing up, and one of his favorite coaches was George Corner. He was very friendly, and he would never punish anyone one for doing anything bad. He felt that if you do something bad, you already are punishing yourself. There is also his best friend, Chuck Gardner. He was the person who Vince could rely on, and he was also his best man. Then there was the coach of the Eagles, Dick Vermeil, who thought Vince had character, and Vermeil liked that. There are many other characters in the book, but those are the people who had the most influence on Vince's life.

Vince grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He came from a poor family who barely met their needs to survive. It was all very stressful to him. Then, when he was about 7, he learned that he was small for his age, but extremely fast. That's when he started getting interested in sports. He started of doing track, because of his speed. Then his track coach, George Corner, then started coaching basketball, so he asked Vince to be on the basketball team. Vince said yes and started playing basketball. A few years later when he was in high school, he started playing football, because George Corner started coaching football. He used his speed to blow past the defense when he was offence as a wide receiver. Then he got a scholarship from track, and went to collage. After he got out of college, he played rough touch football.
