Legal Liability 0f Parents
Parents should and should not be held legally responsible for their children’s actions. Parents who are incompetent and parents who are in the system themselves should be held responsible for their children’s actions. Parents who are handicapped and parents who are competent should not be held responsible for their children’s actions.
Parents that do not rear their children should be held responsible. There are parents who do not care what the child does as long as they are not in there way. They are too involved in their careers or in life to care what the child does. Often the child acts out for attention. Most parents believe that by taking the child to counseling will solve the problem, without going to counseling themselves. The parents do not take the disciplinary role. They either had a child by accident or had one for their significant other, when they really did not want children. By holding them responsible it teaches the parent a lesson. The parent learns that even though they tried to ignore the problem that there is a problem and that they need to take time out of there day to listen to the child. The child will also pay for their actions, either by the parent or eventually by the law.
Parents that are in the system themselves should also be held responsible. Parents who do drugs and know what the child is doing and chooses not to intervene should be held responsible. The government should take the ch...

The Conceptual Framework created for the SUNY Cortland teacher candidates is important for many reasons. It was important for the campus to create a “College-wide shared vision for teacher education” (CF 3) as they prepared for their NCATE accreditation. The college wanted to make sure that the framework formed a true representation of their program goals, identity, and beliefs. This conceptual framework is important for the individual candidate because it is used to guide, and provide “a sound foundation for assessment”(CF 7). As stated on page 11 of the framework, “SUNY Cortland is dedicated to developing candidates’ knowledge, integrity, professional standards and commitment to their future students and school community”. This is very important as every piece of the statement can go hand-in-hand with the NAEYC Standards. The Conceptual Framework is also important for candidates as it sets to build three key components in each individual. These components are personal responsibility, social justice, and global understanding. What is also unique about the Conceptual Framework is that it is seen as a “living document”, meaning that it has the ability to be changed whenever change is needed, and whenever we uncover new discoveries of early childhood development. My intention in writing this paper is to gain a better understanding of what is expected from me as a candidate in a SUNY Cortland education program. I hope that I will be able to take the information that I learn from the Conceptual Framework and use it in my future teaching.
In the past, there have been many minors who have done numerous of acts in which they are punished in a reasonable manner. Just imagine if the parents of these children were put on trail instead of the minors. Why should a parent have to suffer the consequences for their child’s mistake, in which they probably had no idea what the child was doing.
Being a parent is not easy work, so I’ve heard, you have young minds watching your every move wanting to be like you and learning what is right and wrong. Inappropriate drug users don’t make very good parents, granted there are a few that do, the child is left unattended or if the child is around the user the young mind adapts to the seen behavior. The child grows up and now society has another drug user, maybe not to the same degree, to watch after. Children of today are tomorrows adult’s parents are ideal on how the future generations
Health means something different to everyone and there are multiple areas in which health is important: mental, physical, emotional, social, spiritual and environmental. According to Dr. Barr from John Hopkins University, “It seems apparent that each model of health we have considered tells us something about a person’s state of health, but tells us little about a person’s overall state of health” (Barr, 2014, p. 21). The overall state of health is not just about seeing a therapist regularly, or going into the doctor based off symptoms. However, health-care professionals are not always the solution when it comes to deciding if a person is healthy or unhealthy. Imagine living in a low-income neighborhood where there are not many sidewalks and transportation is not
The notion of health is contextual and an interactive, dynamic process between person and environment (Schim et al, 2007). Both wellness and illness are conceptualized by the ‘person’, existing on a continuum across the lifespan (Arnold & Boggs, 2001).
The dimensions of health make-up and create an image of our overall health. This paper will refer to the dimensions of health in relation to myself, and what health change within one dimension would be beneficial to my health as a whole. Health, as defined by the World Health Organization (2014), is a state of total physical, mental and social well-being, not just when disease, illness or injury are absent (p. 1). My definition of health focuses on feeling well enough to perform everyday tasks and to perform these tasks to the best of my ability.
There is a difference between abuse and discipline and when this line is crossed, children cannot benefit from positively reinforced behavior. Neglect and abuse are not functions of discipline, and should never be used to punish your child. The point of disciplining children is to teach them right from wrong not to make them live in fear of making mistakes. Parents need to understand the fine line between abuse and discipline. Discipline should be positive reinforcement, it should be consistent, and it should be a learning opportunity for the child. Child abuse and neglect will affect the parent-child relationship, it will brutalize the parents, and can affect the child's life forever. It is important to positively reinforce good behavior and discipline to benefit both the children and the parents.
Throughout the history, humankind have inherited and shared a universal pattern which induces a perception of categories known as archetypes. Humans have remained perplexed by the existence of the whole and often raised question like who created the universe? Or how was the universe originated? However, humans have virtually considered the creation of the universe by a creator god. Carl Jung, a Swiss physician describes this inborn proneness to have parallel thinking about certain categories among humans as an archetype. The creator god has been prominent across various culture for the emergence of the universe and existence of everything on it. Based on Jung’s philosophy of an archetype, the creator god demonstrates an archetype as it exhibits
In Genesis 2, God creates Ha-Adam with the breath of life, and placed the human like man in the Garden of Eve to be the caretaker. While in the garden, God gives Ha-Adam a command that he may eat from all the trees, expect one, the Tree of Knowledge and if he were to eat it he would die. God then splits Ha-Adam into two, a man and a woman. While the man and women are in the garden a serpent appeared and began to ask the women if God really said they could not eat of any tree, which she replied, they may not eat or touch in the middle on the garden, referring to the Tree of Knowledge. In Genesis 3, the woman takes the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, in which her and Adam eat the fruit. God gives Adam a chance to admit what he had done, in

Moreover, Eve will ultimately suffer more than Adam. After they eat the forbidden fruit, the Son of God goes to earth to deliver their punishments. For Adam, he must grow his own food in an arduous process and will die, as will Eve. However, the Son of God also tells Eve “‘Thy sorrow I will greatly multiply // By thy conception; children shalt bring // In sorrow forth, and to thy husband’s will // Thine shall submit, he over thee shall rule,’” (Milton X.193-196). Although Adam’s punishment is going to make his life difficult and full of pain, Eve is now being told directly that she is inferior and must submit to Adam as well as endure unbearable amounts of pain during childbirth in addition to death. Even though Eve did convince Adam to eat the fruit with her, he knew what he was doing so he is equally at fault as Eve is, yet Eve is the one to receive a harsher punishment. After their punishments have been delivered, Adam tells Eve “‘Out of my sight, thou serpent, that name best // Befits thee with him leagued, thyself as false // And hateful,’” (Milton X.867-869). Adam knows that Eve is clearly upset and wants to help, but rather than trying to comfort her so that they can work through their new problems together, he tells her to go away because she is like the Devil. Even though he consciously ate the fruit, knowing
Health is described as physical and mental well-being and freedom from disease, pain or defect. However, such descriptions only superficially define the actual meaning of health. There may be many occasions when individuals are not necessarily ill or in pain but may be overweight, stressed or emotionally unstable. Health is a quality of life involving dynamic interaction and interdependence among the individual’s physical state, their mental and emotional reactions, and the social context in which the individual exists. There are many factors that influence your health, but three major components contribute to general well-being: Self-awareness, a balanced diet and, regular physical activity.
If parents are held accountable for the actions of their children does that send a message that the children themselves are blameless for their actions? My belief is that these two ideas are not mutually exclusive, and that children and parents can both be held liable. I see no reason why the children and the parents and the teens shouldn’t share in the responsibility for criminal behavior on the part of the child.
Children are a precious gift that God gives to adults as they grow in life, from adolescence to adulthood. Individuals are raised from different walks of life and many diverse backgrounds. As adults progress from childhood to adulthood they begin to develop a parental guidance. However, some parents never interpret the correct way to care for a child, creating a negative effect on their life. I feel that it is important to enforce discipline at a young age. Discipline is a great responsibility that all parents need to grasp in order to raise obedient and healthy children, creating an enjoyable life as they mature and become adults. Disciplining a child properly is a method that you as a person have to create. When correcting a child, I believe
