A SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW
Introduction
Job description change, labor market change, and techniques of job search change. However, job interview is always constant. This is a chance for someone to sell him or herself. It is important to keep in mind that the first thirty seconds of any interview are the most crucial. Therefore, to stand out among others, an interviewee must be very smart. It is worth noting that a successful interview is guided by various principles ("5 Tips for Instant Interview Success - US News," n.d.). A good posture should be observed. Avoid looking like a stiff cardboard cutout (Rogen et al., 2015). It is very normal to get nervous during an interview, even the professionals who are experienced do get nervous. When one appears to be too nervous, it draws a wrong conclusion to the interviewer. The interviewer will question your ability to do the job. If you slouch, it gives an impression that you are not interested in the position or rather you are lazy. If there is something that portrays confidence is the eye contact with the interviewer (Rogen et al., 2015). Profanities and slang should be avoided when speaking; one should be professional and sound polite. The more polished and confident on appears the higher chances of leaving the interviewer with a good impression of you. ii. Keep the interview positive One needs to keep off all the negative comments about the previous employers and jobs. Shun away from complains, in context to any job related duties or responsibilities, which as assigned to you in the previous position ("Ten Rules for Job Interview Success | QuintCareers," n.d.). This will make you appear to be lazy and incompetent for the job as all the employers want to employ someone who is enthusiastic, able to meet and deal with the jobs challenges finally a person who is positive.
