Interpersonal communication is the process in which people exchange information, feelings, and meaning through verbal and non-verbal messages. Nonverbal communication includes body movements or gestures, email, or any other gesture that isn’t physically spoken. Interpersonal information is used on a day to day basis. This type of communication will be used in professional environments such as work and in leisure conversation. Unfortunately, these skills doesn’t come naturally to everyone. Some people really have to work hard on developing interpersonal communication skills. Luckily, these skills are learnable and adaptable. Nonverbal communication is communication not physically spoken. A person expresses themselves with gestures or facial expressions and this type of communication is what a lot of people pay attention to. In every society nonverbal communication is one of the most powerful tools that a person can use to interpret the message that is being delivered. Even though verbal communication is fairly straightforward, nonverbal communication allows others to sense the true emotions of the person that is expressing them. For example even though a person may say that they are not irritated, their usage of voice may display otherwise.
