It may perhaps be that fans do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on their favorite artists while the practicality of digital music downloads is right at their fingertips making it readily available. Some may feel that music downloading is perfectly legal, maybe mostly due to its widespread availability. Internet piracy is a sketchy subject and not a victimless crime posing a large threat to artists and their record labels. However, free downloads have maintained their allure for people building their music library. Online piracy affects everyone and it needs to be stopped. The major con of piracy is that its breaking the law and doing something that is ethically questionable at the very least. If you download something instead of buying it, you are essentially stealing. Stopping online piracy will not only benefit the companies that are being stolen from, but benefit the economy as well. While many think that they are saving money, in all actually what they are doing is just hurting and worsening the country’s With today 's technology, it is very easy to get music, movies, etc, from almost anywhere, for free, and not get caught.
