In 2000 , GlaxoSmithKline pharmaceutical industry is established by merger of two multinational organizations Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham.It is associated to create , discover, develop ,manufacture and market of Pharmaceutical and health related products.Therefor,its primary areas of business are vaccines, pharmaceuticals and consumer healthcare products like oral health, nutritionals; skin health .Their portfolio is mainly on major diseases like asthma, cancer, diabetes, infections. Their consumer healthcare products are Aqua fresh toothpaste, Horlics , Sensodyne and many others .This company has more than 115 offices in other countries and research centers in Spain , the UK , US ,China. It has the crown of the world 's sixth pharmaceutical company in 2014. The slogan of this organization is "Do more, feel better, and live longer".

In 2006 most of the GSK’s drug trials took place except western and developed markets, mainly in poor nations such as Bulgaria, Zambia, Brazil and India which were used for clinical trial.
