The Innovating Career: Human Resources
As jobs are becoming more technical every year and innovations are arising with new job opportunities, finding employees that meet a business’ requirement is becoming more difficult (Nickels (290-346). This is why it is important to have a career that arises and evolves that meets this innovating world: Human Resources. Human resources plays a big part into a business’ success from hiring new employees, to employee retainment, and ensuring employees are trained to meet the evolving businesses requirements (Nickels (290-346). Human Resources is quickly evolving to become one of firm’s most critical professions in the industries market business.
In 2006-2010 Human Resources globally had a compound annual rate of change (CARC) rate of -2.9% but by the years of 2010-2015 the CARC rate was 5.0% (Human Resource & Employment Services Industry Profile (1-37). It is predicted that the market of Human Resources will be worth $454.2 billion by the end of 2015 (Human Resource & Employment Services Industry Profile (1-37). Not only is its market worth is forecasted to grow but also the profession of human resources being a strategic partner to businesses by organizing new designs in the market place as well as planning has already gone up by 11.9% and exponentially grow (Lawer 2-15). Human resources’ market is highly fragmented from all the companies it holds within it, from large international companies to small local companies, the rivalry in the market is highly intense to maintain a certain level of revenues (Human Resource & Employment Services Industry Profile (1-37). Human resources also helps when there is a shortage of trained workers, recessions and making sure there is equalization of pay. Human resources is always having one type of problem, the increasing amount of uneducated workers. Human resources acknowledges that less and less qualified workers is increasing and the need to practice retention to conflict this important problem is essential (Nickels (290-346).
From evolving into a career gaining more and more importance Human Resources is becoming one of the most vital professions in the future for the business industry. “In fact, the human resource function has become so important that it is no longer the job of just one department; it is a responsibility of all managers” (Nickels (290-346).
