Q5. What types of system-building methods and tools did HPC use for building its system? One system building method utilized was SAP Business Objects Dashboards. It is a powerful, personalized, interactive analytical dashboard based on SAP’s Business Objects intelligence platform. It can be used to measure performance management, queries, reporting, provide access to spreadsheets and a lot more. A second was SAP’s Business objects web intelligence. This is different as it is an ad hoc query, reporting tool that is used for things such as root causes and trends of report by examining existing reports.

Additionally,
It enables an organisation to plan future activities by considering a number of questions such as: What are our Strengths? How can we build on them to ensure that we offer a better product than our competitors? What are our Weaknesses? How can we eliminate them? What are our Opportunities?
First of all, business intelligence analysis requires the capturing of information and storing in a single location for effective data analysis. Currently, data analysis is supported by transactional systems, business specific data marts, and other ad-hoc processes. Information is distributed making it difficult and time-consuming to access. Business teams have adapted to this environment by creating user maintained databases and manual “work-arounds” to support new types of reporting and analysis. This has resulted in inconsistent data, redundant data storage, significant resource use for maintenance, and inefficient response to changing business needs.
