Inclusion and education for all is an important issue in education today, it is the right for every person to have an equal opportunity to education in all its varied forms. Inclusion should not be the provider “providing” courses, in one fits all scenario but, allowing the learner to fully participate in the experience whatever the capabilities of that learner. As educators we should provide an environment in which children have the right to participate and the provider’s duty to accept without rejecting segregation or exclusion of learners for whatever reason. We should also maximise the participation of all learners in the community schools of their choice making learning more meaningful and relevant for all, particularly those learners most vulnerable to exclusionary pressures. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 includes the statement that “Everyone has a right to education”.
Much faith was placed on this universal declaration; it produced an expectancy of “the ideal education for all”. The reality is, there are gaps in provision and marginalised groups encounter barriers to mainstream education. Examples include where league tables, success and achievement figures can cause bias from heads of establishments, producing an unwillingness to accept less able students fearing a lowering of their position in the tables.

The moral standpoint for inclusive education is that it values and respects every individual and welcomes diversity as a rich learning resource, it will break down barriers, misconceptions and reduce discrimination.
