In addition to teaching credentials, teachers should be trained to become well experienced, demonstrate skills in a variety of ways, and be exposed to technological resources. To begin with, it 's important for teachers to gain experience in the classroom and in school settings. Student teachers must practice with real students in a classroom to "get a taste of what it 's like to teach" (Treadwell). Amy Treadwell, a teacher for over 10 years, took many courses in children 's literature and even has a master 's degree from DePaul University in Chicago. According to her, although she thought she was approved, on her first day of work, she really didn 't know how to teach a child how to read. Therefore, student teachers must gain experience through classroom settings. Furthermore, there should be higher levels of evaluation for new teachers, and less tests. Consequently, teachers should be taught material and be able to explain or demonstrate it in different ways (Loewenberg). For example, explaining fractions in more than one way or gaining and maintaining the attention of the class. Teacher training plays a big role in producing effective educators in our nation and it is a vital step to improve the quality of our teachers in today 's society. Besides accomplishing training with perfection, teachers should be able to speak English fluently and correctly to insure the betterment of a student’s education. The fluency and pronunciation of English can be vital especially when teaching a class that is based on the foundations of it.
