Introduction
In this assignment I will look into the relationship between time management and stress within the workplace. I will be discussing the implications this can have at home and a work.
In order to lead and manage others, we must first be capable of managing ourselves. Time management is a key factor. This report will demonstrate how good management can positively impact on performance and efficiency, not only on an individual level, but also on a team that is being led. I will also discuss how stress can affect working performance, along with the various ways that stress can be identified, and the support that is available.
The Importance of Effective Time Management
Time Management is defined as “the analysis of how working hours are spent and the prioritization of tasks in order to maximize personal efficiency in the workplace” (Collins English Dictionary)
Time management is an essential skill, when managed well it will positively impact on professional output along with work life balance. From a leader’s perspective, good time management skills will produce more time to lead. This gives the team support, motivation, and morale, making the whole team more effective. Good time management skills are recognised when tasks are organised and prioritised. This relieves pressure and gives confidence that the leader is in control. In comparison, poor time management can produce difficulties, increased workloads, and display a lack of organisation.
Effective time management is the quality of time used, rather than quantity of tasks done. To be effective, important tasks will be prioritised and the more medial tasks can fill up the spaces. If all the medial tasks are prioritised then there is less time for the important task...

Everybody has at least one thing in common. Can you guess what it is? If you guessed, heartbreak, you’re right, but that’s not the answer I’m looking for. The correct answer is stress. Everyone has stress in his or her life at one point or another. It’s one of many inevitable parts of life. Whether it’s busting out a research paper for Psychology at the last minute, expecting your first child to be born, to making sure you’re up in time to catch the Saturday morning cartoons, it’s clearly evident that everyone goes through stress. The real question is, how is stress handled in our society? A person is defined by how they handle the stressors in their lives and how they overcome stressful moments. This paper will explore the aspects of stress management; hoping to help others in their times of stress.

The best thing to do when it comes to time management is to set a strategy, become organized and do your best to avoid procrastination. When you manage your time make sure you include the following; studying, sleeping, eating, relaxing and other necessary things. In the workplace, time management is an important factor in everyone’s day-to-day work. If a person’s time is well managed, it is possible to achieve a greater amount in a shorter space of time. How effectively people manage their time has a major influence on aspects of their working lives and their personal lives. Effective time management can have a hugely positive effect on a person, it can lead to a focused and disciplined mentality, giving a higher level of productivity, greater efficiency and an all round positive attitude in life. This benefits the individual, their team, the company they work for and also their friends and family. An example of this is an employee who prioritises their jobs at the start of the day; this gives them a structured day and ensures they have time to complete all of the important jobs. However, if time is poorly managed it can lead to inefficiencies, work overload and added pressure, this could eventually lead on to other issues such as stress.
Helps prioritise: Time management helps prioritise what needs to be done per time which forces you to create a “To-Do” list to ensure all important set tasks for the required time are done. This helps get rid of un-necessary/un-important tasks, and helps focus more on set priorities.

Time management skills have a good deal of things behind it, such as timeliness in showing up to commitments (such as work and school), timeliness in following through with commitments (such as turning school assignments in), making sure you do things in a timely manner (avoiding procrastination), and prioritizing tasks. These all

(Claessens, Brigitte J.C.2004). adds that time “cannot be managed, because time is an invariable factor. Only the way a person deals with time can be”. Nevertheless, time management has become increasingly essential to businesses and organizations. Efficient time management practices support business students in acquiring key skills that will assist them both in their educatio...
