Final Project First of all, as I read through the material for this class I was amazed by the amount of information that was included. I knew some of the information, but not much that was included in the text. The students and I have really gained a lot of beneficial information for ourselves in our daily lives as well as in the workplace. The information has given me a new outlook on the way I will do things in the workplace. I will look at things differently as well as approach them differently. The class had helped me see where I can be a better manager and coach my team better. In doing this my team should be able to work smarter, faster, and be more of a team. The topic I have chosen to discuss is coaching and all the supporting features that support that topic. In the work place there are always people there who need some assistance and extra words of encouragement. There is nothing wrong with doing this, in fact it is encourage to show the employees you are there for them and want what is best for them as well as the company. Anyone in charge should always make the employees reasons …show more content…
People will work together, but not like they should be at all times during the day. Teamwork to me is everyone employed by the same company working together all the time to ensure everything is getting completed correctly. I am seeing that some of the people only want to do things they want to do and leave what they do not want to do for someone else. This is not right and will not be tolerated by me. Everyone in the building should work together as one on everything that needs to be completed. There should be no one saying that is not my job. I cannot stand to hear this phrase because it honestly makes no sense to me. We are working in a small area of around four thousand square feet, so I feel every job here belongs to everyone. This way all the customers leave happy and satisfied and the work is
I liked how you were able to change the status indicator of how well you knew the material on each question, that made it easier to score point and not lose as many when you got it wrong. I also liked that after getting five consecutive questions in a row right that it started giving you bonus points for it. Also if you got five wrong in a row that it would tell you to take a break and come back later after a certain amount of time so you could gather your thoughts a bit. All of the PowerPoints and mini games and quizzes located throughout each module really helped me and definitely broadened my understanding of everything throughout the semester. What lessons that I will take with me is that everything has a bigger meaning in the world. There is more that goes into society than we know and it makes me want to think deeper about how it all works. Each person and group plays a role in society and there are so many aspects about each one that it is never the same, which is insane. After this course I will be able to analyze patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and culture better, which I think is important especially when you are an active member of society and just in
It is another extremely hectic Monday in the Emergency Department. The waiting room is building up fast with many new walk-in patients. Fire Rescue trucks are calling one after the next with several medical and trauma cases. The hospital supervisor is calling to inform the Charge Nurse of the Emergency Department that the Operating Room has several cases that need beds and will supersede the Emergency Department admits. Patient through put will now be further delayed. This is just one example of a typical Monday and why Teamwork and Collaboration are vital components to run an efficient nursing unit, especially in the Emergency Department. When a common goal is created to foster teamwork, health care professionals working cohesively together
The biggest lesson I learn during this class is time management. I have a 9 month old baby and he allows wants my attention. I had to rely on a family member to take care of him while I get a few hours to read the textbook and do the writing assignments. I had to truly focus on my work and not go to social sites because I barely had time to do so.
In addition to this, I feel that my Team building class gave me good insight into the inner workings and mechanics of how teams work. More work.

In order to gain some purpose while working in a group, I know it can be challenging task to do because every group member is required to agree and cooperate. I am privileged to become a part of a group and completed our task successfully. Our group consists of 5 members and we experienced the stages of group development along with which different roles being considered. Our group formed with the common interest of competing and representing ourselves as competent and knowledgeable. The storming phase involved a trial being held to determine the capabilities of each other and positions were found to be disputed due to which we voted on leader of team. TEAMWORK The teamwork is usually defined as the process of working together in a group to achieve a common goal. These days, working in groups is inevitable. Whether it is a school assignment or working in a clinical setting, we have to work in groups to accomplish a task. We cannot expect to work in isolation all the time. As far as our team is concerned, they worked in an organised manner to accomplish the task within the deadline.
Effective teams work to establish common goals. These goals are usually the drivers of an effective team when all of the participants are communicating to develop the goals they would all like to achieve. In business, this can be seen when groups set a sales goal and develop a plan of action to achieve this goal. Individuals empowered to approach a goal with their interests in mind as well as the interest of the whole group.
There was a significant amount of knowledge given in this course, involving concepts that in our teaching career will be extremely important. From this course I have gained a significant amount of learning experiences. I had the pleasure learning about how the educational system has come to be what it is today and who were the important people in the creation of the public education, like Horace Mann. Watching the videos and reading the chapters required has opened my eyes more of how a teacher should respond to different situations involving a student, For example when we read the chapter on the laws that revolve around the educators and the students. I had absolutely no clue that students had rights while in school property. Another learning
Taking this class this semester has really changed the way that I have viewed myself when it has come to work and the different companies that I have worked before. I have taken a psychology class before but I have never taken one that relates to management and organizations. This class has really helped me answer different questions such as why I was unhappy at some jobs, enjoyed some managers over others, and what motivated me to work hard at jobs. It’s good to learn that there are different terms and definitions for different feeling and things I experienced at jobs to know that their other people experiencing these things also. I will be going into a management position after I graduate, and this class helped me to learn many different ways to go about managing and things to avoid to keep a positive working environment.
