My envisioned major is Accounting with a minor of Human Resources. According to the Type Focus Assessment I should focus on teaching, but only technical subjects. I have to disagree with this part of it. I have no desire to teach. I am not saying I would never teach, but I would have to look into it a little more to see what it entails and how I feel about going into something like that. It also stated I would be good in the military, banking and police work. I do have to say these results did intrigue me a bit. I do seem to be interested in the line of police work, but more on the investigative and forensic side (after the fact). It’s actually funny because I am a little addicted the ID channel. The descriptions of these letters describe me perfectly. I believe this is where the thinking aspect of me comes to life. Type Focus stated “People with a preference for thinking make decisions based on impersonal criteria like principles and logic. Because they apply the same rules to everyone, they tend to become fair and businesslike.” I strongly agree with this. I always use logic and the facts I have on hand most of the time when making decisions and in other parts of my life. I always try to treat people fairly and kindly in every situation no matter what. I am not sure how I feel about the military part of it. I have never been exposed to the military and I’m not sure how it works. I am not sure how comfortable I would be in that kind of setting. I don’t mind the rules, but I am not sure how I would feel about the strictness and how uniform the military tends to be. I would have a problem with the restrictions. The military is not something that appeals to me in any way, shape or form. I do respect men and women who have the strength and ability to succeed in the military, but I don’t think it is within me as suggested on Type …show more content…
This is also something I can see myself doing in the future. I would say I would be more interested in the finance part of it and helping people reach their banking goals. I consider myself a people person. Type Focus stated I am an Extravert. It states I am an outgoing person (talkative). I completely agree with this statement one hundred percent. I have always been able to make friends fast and spark up conversation quickly. I consider myself approachable and open minded. Banking has so many aspects of it and I can see myself there easily. I would say I agree with this result of Type
If the injury is lower down in the foot you might not be able to see any signs.
It was not a surprise when I received the letter “I” as one of my personality types. I consider myself to be an introvert. I prefer to complete projects alone. I am a reserved person that is guarded due to life and professional experiences.
Clubfoot is a common congenital deformity of one or both feet. Clubfoot can sometimes be identified during fetal ultrasound or by visual inspection at birth. Physiotherapist Kelly Gray and Doctor Paul Gibbons describe clubfoot (Australian Family Practice (AFP), 2012) as “a deformity characterized by structural equinus (pointing down), adductus (turning in), varus (twisting, such that the heel is pointing in or upward), and cavus (high arch)” (p. 299). Skeletal abnormalities of clubfoot can include small calcaneus, navicular, and talus bones and a misshapen subtalar joint (Clubfoot, 2011). According to the Mayo Clinic (2013) the calf muscle of the affected leg is usually smaller than the non-affected leg, and the affected foot can be ½ inch shorter than the non-affected foot.
Clubfoot occurs in 1 in 1,000 births, Boys are born with the disorder twice as often as girls. Clubfoot is abnormalities in the bones, muscles and ligaments of the foot. It makes the feet point downward and makes it difficult to work., Treatment include casting of the foot.
As we live our lives each day we probably do not contemplate our personality types or how our types intertwine themselves in our mannerisms and actions. I recently took a personality test from the “Jung Typology Test”. The test revealed that I am an extravert, sensing, thinking, and judging which we will refer to as an ESTJ throughout this discussion. The personality test reveals your four types of personality along with your two temperaments associated with your type. As an ESTJ, I fall into the SJ (sensing, judging) temperament. In this discussion, I will attempt to explain what I have learned about myself through the personality test as well as correlate my type with my temperament. With the information revealed in tests, I will reflect
When I was assigned to do the future focus plan, I was undecided on what degree I was going for. After a while I decided I was going to go for my associate of arts degree. The future focus plan helped me to figure out what classes I needed to take. Now I
Before I started trying to find a major I took a test about my personality type. I found out that I am a sensor, thinker, perceiver and I’m in between extravert and introvert. In doing this it allowed be to get a better understanding
I have seen that being a criminal justice major is awesome, because the jobs that are associated with a criminal justice major are really interesting to me. Being a criminal justice major has been something that I have wanted to do since I was watching crime TV shows when I was a little kid. These shows had most of my interest and the character that I would love to be is obviously the lead detective. I have always wanted to be the one who caught the break in the case that eventually led to the apprehension of the person that committed the crime. That is why I watched shows like Monk, Criminal Minds, Psych, etc. Basically if the show had crime in it and there were people trying to catch the criminal I was most likely glued to the TV. There have also been a lot of issues surrounding the criminal justice field that I find interesting. Some of these issues have touched on whether or not law enforcement should monitor cities’ more closely, due to the recent attacks on U.S. soil. The major that I have decided to go with seems to really fit me and I am anxious to start learning more about this field, and I am glad that I am not going to have to be on the front lines. I want to be a forensic accountant because I know it will always interest me throughout life. I am glad that I will not be surrounded by the tension that comes with respecting citizen rights and cops overstepping their boundaries between laws and respecting citizens’ rights.
I may pursuit a career working in recovery or something with the police force. I was informed that having Behavioral Health as my major I am able to combine my profession. If I decide that I would like to work in the criminal justice field along with another profession that goes hand in hand, then I can. It is nice to know that I am not subjected to stay with one profession. I am able to expand to different fields and build up my experiences and career. It may be a lot of work but at the end it is worth all the effort and dedication. My mind is not made up yet, hopefully by the time graduation is here I’ll have my mind made
The two majors I decided to research were Criminal Justice and Secondary Education. The major I went into Oshkosh of declaring was Criminal Justice. I became interested in Criminal Justice after watching Criminal Minds and doing a ride-along with my aunt, who is a police officer in Sheboygan Falls. As far as Secondary Education, I have always loved being around kids. When I was young I played school with my sister. I’ve also loved math, it has always been my best subject. I am more interested in Secondary Education as of now, which is why I interviewed a middle school math teacher, but I am still interested in learning more about Criminal Justice because I still find it extremely interesting.
In my life from the time of birth to the point of retirement as a soldier, my behavior has been affected by my environment of interaction, my beliefs, ideas and cognitive competencies that have been supported by the external factors that included supportive parents and family, my military environment and the professionals dedicated to excellence around me. These cognitive processes have aided in shaping my behavior my personality. After all the social-cognitive theory has been used and applied in many diverse functioning areas of human development and career choices such as physical and mental health, law enforcement and organizational behavior (Friedman & Schustack, 2012). I feel that the military is very closely related to that of law

Even later in our lives we will continue to learn new things about the way we work and learn. After taking the Holland Code quiz in class and again on-line I have learned that I am an ESC. These letters stand for Enterprising, Social, and Conventional. When looking at the map I fall on the left side and my first category Enterprising includes my future career. Social my second category includes a lot of things I enjoy doing and the conventional my final category has many skills that I need to succeed in my career path. Learning about my personality helped my reassure myself about the major I
