The Importance of A College Education
Nowadays, it is often said that one needs a college education in order to be better prepared for the future and the real world. In other words, society claims that by obtaining this degree, one is able to live a fulfilling and prosperous life. Apart from society, the Media also plays a contributing role in the effect college has on Americans. They equally consider higher level education of equal importance and therefore, one must earn it. In the article, “ Is College Worth It? Clearly, New Data Says” by The New York Times, a statistic from the Labor Department by the Economic Policy Institute in Washington DC states that Americans with a four year degree are said to have made “98 percent more an hour on average in 2013 than people without a college degree”(Leonhardt). This startling fact in most cases proves to all that a college education is extremely valuable in today’s society. Although college does come with some hefty disadvantages such as student loans, unnecessary debt and lost income, it is important to note that attending college is one of the best investments an individual can make in the present and in the future because college not only secures one’s future, it demonstrates success and enables one to gain a competitive edge in today’s unstable economy.

These are some of the characteristics one earns just by receiving a college degree which is mind boggling but overall, college is a journey everyone should eventually take part in.
To conclude, I think everyone deserves the opportunity to attend college irrespective of its circumstances.Studies already show that people who don’t go to college end up worse off than people who do go to college. In today’s society, there are exceptions but in general, college is a business that offers a really good return of investment. Even though it does come with
