The industrial revolution was undoubtedly one of the most influential intercontinental waves of change the world has ever experienced. Preceding the industrial revolution was a non technologized planet with little to no industrialization. Manufacturing was done in the home, either by hand or with simple machines. Most families lived on farms or in small rural villages that had little aspect of urban life. How did the world change and urbanize so abruptly? Every characteristic of life could and could still be traced back to the significant influence the revolution had on civilization. Incredible advancements in technology and products made head way from the equally impressive inventions and innovations. Machines made goods accessible to a marginally greater number of people and offered people a more extensive view of the world. In a predominantly agrarian world, this revolution totally urbanized and industrialized nearly every part of the world. Knowledge of germs and disease spread across western Europe, thus improvements on hospitals were made which resulted in a declining death rate as well as enhanced longevity. It is vehemently apparent that the industrial revolution had a profoundly positive impact on the entire globe. Before the industrialization of the world, there was a severe lack of any technology any advanced technology was nonexistent. The common work day of today that was influenced by the industrial revolution was extraordinarily different pre-industrialization. Rurality was the familiarity of a non urbanized life. However, as a result of innovations and inventions, a dramatic incline of productivity enabled an expeditious industrialization of the world. Because of the industrial revolution, mankind now has extraordinarily advanced technology, a vast knowledge of health and medicine, and is extremely efficient in production and transportation.
