Numerous academic studies over the past four decades has examined the impact of political cycles on stock returns in order to achieve predictable patterns found investors can both follow and, if you can exploit. Their findings have come to agree that the patterns observed in the various countries around the world such as Australia, New Zealand and the United States were varies between their political systems. Review of Nordhaus (1975) for Booth and Booth (2003) found that a pattern that exists among stock returns was consistent with the U.S. political cycle. The reasons for the movement believed to be caused by the government either increasing or restricting the monetary and fiscal policies to increase prosperity, and thus the chances of re-election.
Elections can be attributed to the theories and liberal democracy in which a way involved with politics. The purposes of an election are a formal decision-making process where people choose an individual to hold public office such as policies and laws. Elections have been the usual mechanism which modern representative democracy has operated since the 17th century. An election can also fill offices in the legislature, sometimes in the executive and judiciary, and for regional and local government. This process is also used in many other private and business organizations, from clubs to voluntary associations and corporations.
An election in Malaysia can be divided into two levels which are federal level and the state level. General election of Parliament and State Invitational held Peninsular 13 starts from 1959 to 2013.
