The purpose of this informative paper is to explain specifically, how the use of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) contributes to the effectiveness of strategic human resources management and to examine the strategic importance of using HRIS at the workplace. The paper will also explain HRIS’s role and importance, the need, components, benefits and functions that impact organizations, which have put efforts towards HRIS adoption and follow through with using HRIS. Organizations usually save by decreasing in cost and saving time, and also contribute to better strategic decisions. Financial resources are usually taken under a great deal of consideration in the early stages of implementation. It is very important to review what it will take to start and sustain the HRIS use. In addition HRIS allows HR professionals and supervisors to manage complex information within an organization. It also allows organizations to train not only the HR staff, but also educate the rest of the employees on how to properly use the system. This creates awareness which causes acceptance of the HRIS from all of the employees.
