The impact of CSR initiatives and social change in AAMA is to be a catalyst for positive systematic change in the community (Lefkowitz, 2003). In the late 1970’s the non-profits were the closest thing communities had in seeing some effects of socially responsible organizations. Nowadays, it has become more common place with B-Corp certification available for businesses in certain responsibility areas. The AAMA recognizes that their services and products come second place to the community of people they service without being a B-Corp certified organization. The AAMA has also seen the effects of corporate social responsibility as it relates to their employees and volunteers. For example, the work in the community through AAMA causes the employees of the non-profit through example to further engage in their own communities (e.g. church, fire department etc.) to find their passion. The women employees and volunteers can relate to the need to place a major focus on feeding and nutrition of children, especially in the early stages of their growth (i.e. ages 6-15). AAMA further encourages their employees that have been with the organization at least five years to join a board and they teach them how to be a successful board member. This is a benefit to any non-profit they join as a board member and further enhances the goals for the communities that non-profit services.

We cannot avoid conflicts within any organization and recognizing this fact and embrace conflict with civility as a route to even better collaboration and consensus. Thirdly, is the society or community values we call citizenship () which is leadership being engaged in their own community as a practice. The values of all three components in the model interact with one another. For example, if members with in an organization are failing to decide on a common purpose or some are uncertain of their role in the organization then go back to the individual values and see if there is a lack of commitment from someone that may be intercepting the desired goal. Another example, can be that someone including the leadership is lacking self-awareness which can hinder their ability to lead.
